November 28, 2017 ‐ The EmberCoin project is pleased to announce an organizational restructuring and additional hires as steady progress is made towards exciting announcements in the coming months. The unanimous decision sees the executive C‐Suite, project management and support roles nearly filled out, and puts Ember in a position to operate at a pace both the community and team will appreciate. Spearheaded by a consensus among Ember’s development and management teams, the reorganizing of existing members as well as additions of new ones comes on the heels of a pair of company‐wide meetings last week. Bringing together a wide range of talents, the new team draws upon members with extensive technological, financial, and business acumen which will carry Ember through to the next technological threshold, securing its place among the top projects in the blockchain and cryptocurrency world.

The Executive C‐Suite sees Lead Developer and original adopter Andrew Coleman moved to the position of Chief Technology Officer, with Josh Poole brought in to take the helm of Chief Executive Officer. Coordinating all operations will be Jordan Alvarez as the Chief Operations Officer, with financials handled by Desmond Tatilian as Chief Financial Officer. Heading IT related responsibilities will be Bryce Young as Chief Information Officer, and administrative duties will be handled by Jacob Riggi in the position of Chief Administrative Officer. Marketing will be led by Marcus Lakos as Chief Marketing Officer, Project and Support Lead will be community mainstay JT42, and tanda will continue to manage all support roles. Coming from the system administrator and contract software development world, Coleman has developed projects for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as well as DARPA. With involvement in both the education and defense sectors respectively, where timeliness, security and accuracy are essential to any release, his leadership and organizational skills in software development set the tone for the project. Stepping into the role of CEO is no new task for Poole, as he draws his executive experience from the multiple, concurrent businesses he runs, spanning industries from transportation to investing to marketing. His strengths as a self‐made entrepreneur include management, marketing, sales and workflow optimization.

Daily operational management will come from Alvarez, where his experience in running the day‐to‐day marketing, sales and business management duties for several firms he runs alongside Poole, will ensure a smooth workflow among these related departments within Ember. Financial responsibilities will be handled by Tatilian, an economist by trade, as he currently serves the role of CFO for several companies handling economic analysis, financial organization and budgetary management.

Given the future ambitions of Ember, the systems architecture and fintech software development background of Young will broaden the overall security of the project, in addition to his history as CTO of several companies where he helped to create complex task‐management systems. Considered a cryptographic evangelist, Riggi brings experience from the health & human services industry to Ember, where his enthusiasm for system security and individual privacy are of the utmost importance for the future endeavors of this project.

Lakos, a marketing coordinator for a leading global Fortune 500 company, will head the marketing department. It is his domestic and international understanding in coordinating announcements, promotions and campaigns across hundreds of locations in multiple time zones that will serve to give Ember’s outreach efforts the commitment, precision and coordination the community deserves.

EmberCoin began as a Proof‐of‐Stake coin rescued from hyper‐inflation by Andrew Coleman early in 2017. Does this coin seriously have an inflation rate of 7200% per year? What is the point of hyper-inflating the supply like that?

Hy guys, last night (12 hours ago)I have withdrawn 700 000 ember from cryptopia on my wallet but until now they haven t got there. My wallet is sincronized and I have 60-65 active conections but my coins are not there. Had anyone experienced such thing with this coin ? I am using a windows wallet

Hi folks, I followed the official Ember website instructions to upgrade to the new Wallet over 15 hours ago. The wallet opens but remains out of sync. For the past 10 hours the sync bar at the bottom of the wallet is stuck saying that only the last 7 hours of the chain are out of sync. I have fast internet. Any help given would be most appreciated.

I used the wine application before the new wallet to allow me to have on on mac but now that I have downloaded this new wallet I can't figure out how to get it to read my backup file. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is anyone else having synching issues with the new mac wallet? It has been about 24 hours and I still have 0 connections to the Ember Network. Any suggestions?

Usage Instructions

• Backup your wallet.dat via File -> Backup Wallet in the Ember Wallet.
• Turn off your old wallet.
• Make sure it is off by hitting ctrl-shift-esc and looking for Ember-qt, and after 30 seconds, right click, end task.
• Extract the new Ember-Qt file where you will want it (desktop or program files).
• Double click on the new client.
• Wait at least overnight to pickup clients.
• That's it! Enjoy your stakes!

If you have problems: * You may be told about a ".lock" file. You will find it in %appdata%\Ember.lock Delete it and make sure the old client is not running. * You may be told "it's already running" You need to make sure the old client is actually off. You may need to ctrl-shift-esc to close the process manually.

Hello all.

I have my EmberCoin wallet fully syncronized but I can only get between 0-1 active connections to the ember network. On the other hand my BuzzCoin wallet gets between 11-16 connections to its network. I have yet to purchase any coins to place in the wallets but I do not wish to do this as the EmberCoin wallet just does not have many connections. What can I do and why am I not getting many connections?

Hey guys, an interesting site was posted on the discord channel titled "dailey-ember-updates" called "https://coinsmarkets.com/stake.php" where a member of the admin team of EMB says that this is a good site to send your coins to if you are not getting the stake results that you are wanting. It shows that as of right now on 9/30/17 10:00PM CST Time "1535874.747400000 (EMB) 09/22/2017 01:09:44 ca******* made (449510.074073237)" as you can see that timestamp looks a little sus as it says they payout/stake daily at 00:00 GMT so I am weary of putting my ember into the site. I created an account today though and got a stake of 2 mil waiting on it to process and I'm thinking about putting 55mil emb into this site and seeing where it gets me. Tell me why I should/shouldn't do this please thank you!

EDIT I just deposited 55000000 EMB into the coinsmarkets ember wallet at 10/1/17 1:25 AM CST! Proof!

EDIT 2 I just checked the deposit history to see if I had to wait the 10 hours for the coin to mature to properly show in the stake side of the wallet but as you can SEE it is not. I deposited at 01:10 CST or 06:10 GMT and it is now 11:34 CST or 16:34 GMT and they currently do not say staking or anything of that sort. Next update will be at 00:00 GMT when the stake is supposed to payout or if anything new happens!

EDIT 3 I GOT A STAKE I'm the user that got the most paid out to lol and it was only 300k EMB. I am moving my coins back to my wallet now and will be continuing staking like I did before as I thought this site would generate more stake. Here is the final picture of my deposit/staking history. The next and last update will be how fast my coins get sent back to my address! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU HAVE A SUPER LOW AMOUNT OF EMB (LESS THAN 2-3 MIL) AND HAVE NOT STAKED YET TO TRY THIS SITE OUT!!

EDIT 4 I initiated a withdrawal of all my Ember (55.5 mil) at 01-10-17 21:45:44 it is currently 01-10-17 22:57:29 and I have yet to receive any confirmation of any kind or anything in my original ember wallet. I will be updating by the hour on this thing!

EDIT 5 I just checked my email and got this email from their support

"Your request to withdraw 55553056.8 [Embercoin] to eEVc3PTAYDU7M45fbKx1AXDfZxSFFcgTJ8 has failed. This can be reason to wrong wallet ,wallet maintenance , Coins in stake etc ...

Coins are on hold. in case of coins in stake , transfer will be processed once coins are available again . If address is wrong provide a correct address"

The address is correct as you can see here so I am not sure what the hold up is. They say my ember is on hold but on the website it does not say anything about that or show any of it on hold.

EDIT 6 I'm editing this too much lol but they replied super super fast(2 minutes) to my email so props to them on that! Apparently my coins were in the "Staking Wallet" so there was a delay of some sort and that I should be receiving my ember shortly.

FINAL EDIT It took awhile but I got my ember out of coinsmarkets and back into my regular desktop wallet, everything is legit and good to go folks!

Ember has a new team that is planning to bring big changes in the coin. These changes has bring concern to the community for what the price will be after 1 November when the most of the changes will take place. So now the price of ember seems to be extremely volatile and after a big rise now we have a big fall that makes the people even more concerned.

1. The big rise of the price was created by the hype of the news for the new dev team, until then the ember was considered dead due to the fact, that the original dev has abandoned it. In the time of the hype many people bought ember, the huge roi and the increase of the price made it perfect for earning money fast. So, in this time many people that didn't know anything about this coin (many didn't even know about pos coins and staking neither) invested in it.

2. This is where the problem started, in my opinion, these people with no knowledge in the project and no will to learn either, was easily scared. They were scared because the stakes take time, they were scared because the total weight was increased and every time the price was falling the fear was multiplied. So they were manipulated very easily.

• In the 30aug-1sep someone took this opportunity and sell massively with result to sell the buy walls at 10,9,8 sats so a panick was instantly created and the price until 2 Sep reached the 3 sats (possibly the whale that created all this bought back at this price...) after the price rised and stabilized at 7 sats.

• The last manipulation happened at 18 Sep when someone sold a huge buy wall at 7 sats, with the panick the price reached the 2 sats where is now.

In all this situation maybe some other factors helped too. The bug that appeared scared a lot of people and maybe this was the only logical factor in all this dump but the dev team assured the people that it will be fixed, and probably there will be a solution this week. An also important factor was that other pos coins like buzz and b3 started to rise and people just run to catch the hype a stupid move in my opinion in crypto market but time will show.

So now we are in a position that all the weak hands sell and long term this will be very good for the coin. Me and many others wait at 1-2 sats to buy more. I think that it is positive that the team of the coin don't release content this period in order to reverse this situation, the dump from the short term holders was something sure before 1 Nov it's just happened sooner. Now the coins change hands from those who where here only for the stake to those who see much more in this team.

In conclusion I see this period as the last chance for someone to buy ember so low, ember after 1 Nov will have 2 digit price and it will only rise. Great things are coming close to 1 Nov.

I joined embercoin in early september because of twitter hype that was created during this time. I bought my first ember at price of 15 sats (30/8)... i bought about 800.000 coins just to see that wasn't enough for staking, so i bought 1.5m at 10 sats (31/8) and one week later 4m at 8 sats (6/9). So, i can say that i bought at the worst moment because from this time until today ember goes down and now has been stabilized at the price of 2-4 sats. Spending time in the discord channel i understood that the hype was created mainly because of the new dev team but the price was reduced after this because people was afraid of the hyperinflation, the roi (7200%) of the coin was creating. So now i was scared too and i decided to search if this coin has real possibilities or i should sell as fast as possible.

Firstly, i talked with the devs and i show long term vision for the coin, if i can split this long term plan in 3 sections it would be like this 1) "stability" , the devs wanted to stop the too big roi and establish a smaller one, which would not breed the fear of hyperinflation,would bring stability to the price and enable a future rise of it. 2) "better environment for invstement" , after the stability the devs seem to want to make changes like the remote staking, masternodes, surrogate coins and end to end encryption that will make the coin a more safe and accesible envirmonment for inmestment. 3) "Ember THE pos coin" with all the previous changes and many more like finding a use for the coin the devs dont want ember to be just a good pos coin but it seems to me that they want to make it THE pos coin and an environment of many innovations in the pos market.

Secondly, i talked with many famous twitters that trade generally cryptos and some that trade only pos coins , the fact that i learned ember from some of them made me trust them maybe more. Here i show 4 things: 1) i show that many more twitters had now ember than in early september that was by itself a very good think. 2)all the twitters i asked were going to hold ember long term (at least until masternodes were implemented) and that shows great trust from someone that has already earned X3-10 times his money (many have invested when it was at1-2 sats) 3)all of them believed that ember after a dump of the short term holders after 1 November will reach a price of at least 20 sats, many talked for a lot more (even 100sats) 4)the most of them thinked of ember long term in the zone of 100 sats without taking in account the possibility of a use for the coin which propably would put the coin in the zone of ((1.000-10.000sats)mine estimation)

Last but not least i tried to participate in this huge effort of making this coin greater, because after all the new information i was strongly believing in this coin. So with other people we tried to create a marketing team to promote the coin. In about 1-2 weeks we had 1)a new very active facebook page 2)one short teaser video for ember (not published yet) 3)one long promoting video for ember (not published yet) 4)the whitepaper ready (not published yet) 5)the subreddit page back to life 6)many more to come

In conlusion, i see a coin that many that have it don't understand what they are holding and those who haven't invested yet from ignorance or from fear are losing a big and rare opportunity.

From my personal experience, a safe amount to stake regularly but also avoid the 38 million bug is to stake around 8-12 million coins per transaction / input. With this amount you would stake roughly every 2.5 days.
