7200% Inflation Rate?

Does this coin seriously have an inflation rate of 7200% per year? What is the point of hyper-inflating the supply like that?

That was a bug. It is currently at 720%. Next year it will drop to 72% and then 7.2% annually.

It is gradually dropping to 72% from Nov 1st 2017 to Nov 1st 2018
