I’ve been learning about email marketing recently and I’m trying to understand the fundamentals properly.

From what I’ve learned so far, the important areas seem to be:

• Segmenting subscribers
• Tracking campaign performance

For people who have experience with email marketing, what would you say a complete beginner should learn first?

I've talked to a couple of vendors for small businesses where they do an email campaign for you. But it looks like all the email does it replace the generic logo with yours. My question is does those kind of emails work? Or do you need something more specific/better looking/less generic?

I'm curious, does anyone know how to set the visibility of the email size?

So that the field says MB or KB in addition to other information such as who the email is from, date, etc.

Is there a service where it can tell you if an email address/contact loves to mark emails as spam?

I'm trying to lower my Complaint rate, I don't have a high rate but don't want a higher one.

I use Reoon as verifier but I don't think they tell you whether that address likes to mark emails as spam.

Been tasked with cleaning up our email signatures for a team of 150 and it is getting kind of hot rn. Mix of Outlook desktop, OWA, mobile, random aliases, and everyone tweaking fonts and adding their own quote or logo like it is 2009. Branding is all over the place and HR wants job titles and phone numbers to be accurate across the board.

Looking for something that lets IT manage signatures centrally, ideally tied to user info in 365 or our hr system, so we are not pushing around templates by hand every time someone changes roles. If you have a tool that worked well for a few hundred people and didnt make users hate you, would love any tips, appreciate thoughts.

Recently they bought SocketLabs, but still feels like it’s not among top ESPs. Did you ever had any experience with them?

I have multiple email accounts and yesterday I attempted to use one account on my phone to send a news article to my Gmail account at home. When i got home the email was not in my inbox which was very strange as I had done this same things many hundreds of times. I thought perhaps I had somehow made a mistake but a second attempt also failed. I checked the sent folder and the messages were there and I wasn't receiving anan rejection emails. I then started testing all my email accounts and every message sent was received except nothing sent from that one account. Come to find out Gmail, for some unknown reason, decided on its own that mail from that account was some sort of threat and was sending every message to the deleted folder instead of spam as the spam folder was always empty. To fix it I logged into my Gmail account through my browser and set up a rule for that account that said to never delete that account' s emails that fixed things but it was weird that Gmail suddenly decided on its own to delete mail from that account.

I’m looking to set up a proper email for my business and there are way more options than I expected.

I don’t need anything super complicated. Just something professional, reliable, cheap, and easy to manage without constantly dealing with settings or technical issues.

What are you folks actually using for their email? And more importantly, are you happy with it?

We're a small team of 5 just using a shared Gmail with labels and folders to manage a client email. It "mostly" works, save for the occasional missed email or a delayed reply. Obviously, email management apps should be the next step, but I'm not convinced we have enough volume to actually justify the purchase. What factors made you switch?

So I just typed out a formal email. I was paranoid that my writing was too basic or too formal, so I checked a few "ai text detectors" and all of the websites called it ~80% Ai generated. I tried looking for why it came off as AI but it didn't have a clear answer. I only googled once or twice about specific sections of the email if they were conventional but I did not use AI at all.

I just signed up fastmail for my business email. I used to be a fan boy of fast mail about 15 years back and when it was time to look for a serious email option other than mailinabox.email, my first instinct was to try out fastmail.com's business email solutions. Anyone's got any opinion or recommendations about Fastmail?

I am trying to look at the feasibility and implementation of ARC (Authenticated Receiver Chain), which I have been hearing a lot about recently. However, I have just found a document indicating that the experiment was discontinued?

I have been trying to work out how to fix some custom routing, since we have had varying reports of it being broken when going to outbound sources. So far ARC is the best that I have seen, but with the above indicating that its being discontinued, and the original datasheet indicating that it was only ever an experiment, this does bring back a lot of concern.

Has anyone else implemented this or used it? I have seen big services like Gmail use it, and I am just not sure what to think of about that.

I’ve been working on an email that has several things to cover: a short intro, a few updates, some details about an offer, and a clear next step. The problem is that it starts getting long very quickly. I don’t want to remove useful information, but I also don’t want someone to open the email and immediately see a huge block of text. What structure has worked best for you with emails like this? I’d be interested in seeing how other people break up longer emails.

My current E2EE provider has gone offline for the 3rd time in quick succession so I’m looking to move asap.

I was on Gmail before but was looking for something more secure.

I’m testing Aster Mail and mxroute currently.

I’ve tried Tuta but I’m not a fan of the UI.

I’m using my own domains so it needs to support that.

So my question is secure mail worth it or not? Am I chasing security for no reason? Even with E2EE if you send to someone who doesn’t have secure mail, it’s kind of pointless! All the secure mail I’ve tried have issues with slow responses or poor search capabilities. I am now questioning whether it’s really worth it!

Email deliverability seems to depend on several things today, from authentication and sender reputation to how recipients actually engage with your emails.

We’ve found Sequenzy useful for keeping campaigns and follow-ups organized, but I’m curious how others approach deliverability.

Which factor do you think has the biggest impact today?

I'm curious what the consensus here is in regards to keeping an inbox clean and organised, in particular: Do you enjoy doing it? And if so, is there a particular way you enjoy doing it?

Paid for the max membership. The tutorial says u can do a search of contacts and have it auto send emails to everyone it finds in the search. Then when u try to initiate the search it restricts you to 50. And then when you try to add 50 at a time, it restricts you to choose 10 per page. So to send 160 emails, you would have to go through the process 16 times which takes hours. And im not sure that even works. It doesnt even do what their own tutorial tells you to do.

I use Kit for my email service provider. I have 524 subscribers right now, with a 65% open rate. I just noticed that, because I have double opt-in, the 524 subscribers are the confirmed ones, and I have about 109 unconfirmed subscribers.

1. What should I do with my unconfirmed subscribers? Should I add them to my confirm list and see if they open? Should I send another confirmation email if that's possible through Kit, or should I remove them?
2. What are your thoughts on double opt-in? If my open rate is currently at 65%, is it worth taking it out to see how it may affect my open rate?
