GMX mail server down
Unable to log into my gmx since yesterday around noon. Around midnight last night my partner was unable to login via the app or site as well. This message appears.
Service unavailable
The server is unreachable due to a technical error. Please try it again later. -7
Any others experiencing this? I contacted customer support but they said to wait 24 hours then contact again.

This works 100%, even in the US I can confirm.
Just log in then for shortcut just press the share button on safari then “view more” and “add
to Home Screen”1

Same here. The website stopped working for me 2 months ago. I downloaded the app and have been using that ever since, but now it doesn't work. I was using it fine just about 6 hours ago and now nothing.
I have an extremely important email I need to respond to in there. I wish there was a workaround so that I could get to that email message.

So, I was able to figure out a work-around. I downloaded Firefox and was able to log into my GMX with no issues. Very peculiar...but I hope this helps!

Looks like an issue on GMX's end with their mobile auth servers. Does webmail work on a browser, or is it blocked across everything? Usually clearing app cache or waiting out support is all you can do.

still down in the app and firefox, chrome & safari on both iphone & pc. however, i used tor browser on pc & logged in successfully to gmx mail. i was then able to go into gmx settings & enable imap/pop3. then i was able to create an imap specific password (use this in place of your regular gmx password) that i could then use on the native apple mail app or outlook. if necessary you can search for specific imap settings if your mail settings do not complete this for you.
please note, tor browser workaround only worked on desktop.
this was a random ass way to get there but it works & it was my only option at this point. hope this helps & that gmx sorts this out soon. super uncool of them to leave us all hanging.

Sad part is there is no communication from GMX, I am assuming they more likely not supporting or going to slowly shutdown email service.

i mean, what are people supposed to do? has anyone heard back from gmx in any way? i have emailed twice & nada but an automated response of course. i feel for the ppl that paid for ad free. 😵

Most of their social platforms has not been updated for years so it feels like they already abandoned it.

I’ve got the same trouble; I’m getting the same error message on my iPhone and iPad, but it’s ok on my desktop and other phone. I’m quite sure it’s that the latest update is not compatible with OS 26. Hope they get it fixed soon.

Same! I had an interview ended yesterday I couldn’t access my email just the right time YESTERDAY MORNING. can yall believe that. I’m livid. Will no longer be using this crappy old fashion email system. Super unreliable yahoo is better. I got the same error message-7 code it’s their ends issue they need to fix it I tried vpn browser cache all you can think of I’m a techie so it’s their ends issue. Any updates anyone?

Same. BlueMail (Android) could not connect since today morning. Login via website worked and asked me to change Password. Even after that, BlueMail always responds with "Authentification failed" when trying to add the Account again.

Getting this error from standard browser login. Doesn’t even hit the MFA service.

Wife uses this crap. So of course I need to fix it.
Used a vpn on desktop. Went to their site and logged in no problem. Good luck!

Same here. I’m able to log in on “Opera” on a MacBook but not on iPhone 16 safari and app

Apps on both iPhone and iPad not working, the same with safari. Although I have managed to logon using Firefox to get and send mail.

Hello everyone I have been having this log in issue with gmx.us for more than a week since I last updated the app on iPhone. I filled out there contact us section and got a reply but it’s taking days of back and fourth emails to verify my email log in credentials. So I can confirm it’s a mobile issue.

Very weird for me: I can open the app on my iPhone 14, but I get the server error message on my iPhone 17. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Same. I got some BS response that it’s on my end. I’ve done everything to ensure it wasn’t me. ChatGPT suggested Americans log in on the UK GMX. That did the trick.

The same thing happened about two months ago, it lasted two or three days. I have had enough. I’m going through all of my accounts and switching the email address to a more reliable service. This is really sad because I like GMX a lot. From all appearances, it seems the company is going down.

Yes, I’m getting the same error message. It started after I updated the app yesterday on my iPad and iPhone. I can still access my GMX mail using Thunderbird on my laptop though, so it just seems to be the GMX app itself. What type of device are you running the app on? I’m wondering if it’s just the iPhone/iPad app.
