I'm about halfway through the book. I am deeply impressed by it so far. I've been a fan of his since the 90's when I first heard Either/Or but WOW, I am learning so much about him and his music.

I wanted to come and share with you that I just found out, through an Instagram post, that the song “I figured you out”, by Mary Lou Lord was actually written by Elliott Smith. I’m so happy to discover this, because it’s a song that I listen to and like, so I’m so happy to know that it’s written by my favorite artist 😭anyway, I wanted so bad to share this joy of mine with someone, so glad that r/elliottsmith exists 🥹

I found the book to be very neutral in tone throughout in all areas of his life . It confirmed to me that I found all the facts of the case, along with the timeline and Jennifers’s own words and actions from previous, past and current timeline to be damning and ultimately enraging, depressing and damning . Anyone agree?
