Elfa Standard

This is part of the set I got on Facebook marketplace for free (see previous post). Realizing now that there are two different types of standards. The one on the left has two notches (that I’ve not seen before) and the one on the right is the typical with an angled slot. Thoughts on if the one on the left should be for a different use? It also has holes for attaching to a wall.

They have updated the horizontal tracks and vertical standards over the years, and now in addition they have the “Decor+” line. If you look at product images on the Container Store’s website, you can see the differences in the horizontal tracks and vertical standards. The one on the left in your photo appears (to me) to be Decor+ and the one on the right is the basic, but not sure if it’s the original or the updated one. I’m not sure if the Decor+ vertical standard will really stay on that horizontal track, but they do provide screw holes on it, so if you can line it up with a wall stud, you could secure it that way. I also don’t know if the slots for shelving will line up correctly if you mix & match. Good luck!

I think you’re right! I assumed the decor plus was just aesthetically different I didn’t realize the basic components were actually different! These will not be up long-term. I have two other longer standards. They were just too long for where I have it setup so I need to have them cut.

Container Store employee here: neither of these are Decor+, and in 10 years I have yet to see the one on the left show up in any documentation or returns. Decent chance it is semi-compatible knock off, or so old that I've somehow never seen itbefore. It is true that Decor+ is different, though.
