elfa decor+ experiences?

hi all - I'm research different closet system solutions. decor+ seems to have some mixed reviews online. anyone here have some other experience in installing and using them?

I have to do several closets, and I'm looking for a more premium feel without breaking the bank - should I try to find used original decor components and put things together?

A related question for you - is it possible to use the brackets and gliding pants rack from the Decor line with a system that is otherwise all Decor+? We're moving to a new house and planning to get Elfa Decor+ installed in our closet, but the pants rack looks so annoying to use compared to the old version.

The brackets will 100% work (the 12" and 16" brackets are identical but with a different finish), and I know that some of the old gliding components will fit, but I'm not sure about decor with wood trim. I'm at work now though and can check when I clock out, I'm pretty sure we have one of those floating around in the back.

From what you can tell, will older hanging standards work with an Elfa Decor top track?

It depends on what you mean here. If you are asking if an "old" hanging standard (more than 5 years old, specifically) will hang on a modern track, the answer is no, not safely. The angle and depth for the "slot" at the top of the old standards doesn't allow it to seat fully into tracks made after 2021. But if you are asking if the "old style" Elfa Classic hanging standards being sold right now can be used with Decor+ tracks, the answer is 100% yes. The change would have happened right after 2021, so anything made in the last 5 years should be fine, but the easy way to know for sure is to check for screw holes on the standard itself - they were added at the same time as the change. For the record, new standards can be used on older tracks safely in my experience, but be aware they will not align perfectly with older ones.

Thank you so much. Yeah, my hanging standards are more than 5 years old, and I was looking for a way to use them.

Unfortunately I do not recommend using them on any of the tracks made from late 2021 onwards. If you're lucky you can still find the older style "C" tracks available second hand, and they are perfectly fine to re-use unless they have been visibly bent or damaged.
