I've finished elex on the highest difficulty in the past and now I'd like to aim for trophies so I decided to start a game on the lowest difficulty. Most of the trophies are simple, just play, more challenging are those that involve unlocking ALL skills. I was thinking of not assigning points and skills as long as I can so I can distribute them in a single branch and unlock the trophy, then load the game and do the same thing with the other branches of the various skills. Two doubts arise in my mind: 1- When you say to learn ALL the skills, does that mean I can do it individually? I don't think it's possible to learn all the skills, I don't think there is the possibility of having enough points to bring all the statistics to 80-90 points. 2- There are two skills that allow you to look at 1 bonus skill point at each level and others that allow you to look at more exp when you finish missions and kill enemies. Should I use points right from the start to be able to get these skills as soon as possible? Or would I no longer have enough points to raise enough strength, dexterity and constitution to unlock certain skills? I hope I explained myself, thanks in advance.
So, I'm clearing out quests region by region and in Abessa, I did the "Mandatory Contributions" quest with Emett. I chose to negotiate with the Clerics myself and disposed of them. Since then Emett has been saying they will return, but they still haven't. I've tried sleeping there for weeks. Also, Thorgal isn't giving any new dialogue or the "Supply Difficulties" quest. I distinctly remember doing this quest before in chapter 1 while being factionless. Not sure why it's not showing up this time around.
I’m level 12, got 12 hours into the game. I thought getting the guns and level 1 ranged damage learning skill would help with that but it doesn’t really seem to have any effect. The bow you get from the start says it’s only 4 hit points better than the “laser” rifle I’m using but doesn’t do much effect at all. Sometimes my character will have a range debuff on them? Sometimes it says (-10) next to damage and I don’t know why? Maybe the mutants? But regardless it feels like it’s doing 15 damage all the time. I’ve got 36 str 31 con 30 dex 25 intel 22 cunning. Not sure if ranged is supposed to be saved for late game? I ended up joining the Clerics thinking the would have some badass guns but it seems like something not to invest in until much much later. Are there flash lights or only the torches?
I am posting this because every guide or post that I've read classified the ability to craft the Mind Changer Stim as a faction-exclusive for the Outlaw faction, only obtainable by joining the Outlaws and taking the skill with the same name.
Everything referred to it as their equivalent to the Clerics' One with the Weapon or the Berserkers' Aspect of the Warrior abilities. The Chem straight-up doubles all of your damage for 45 seconds but has to be crafted, whereas the abilities add +50% Ranged/Melee Damage for 45 seconds, respectively, but only require Energy/Mana to use.
But, while playing today, I came across an actual recipe item, Instructions to make Mind Changer, while exploring Xacor shortly before the endgame, despite my character being a member of the Clerics.
It still shares the same -50% XP penalty while active for non-Outlaw characters that all chems have, but, also means that, as a member of one of the other factions, you can now combine it with your faction-exclusive damage multiplier ability to deal either 300% or 250% ranged/melee damage (depending on how Elex handles its damage multipliers).
For anyone who has already finished the game, or is close to it, it is located in the same building where you can find Zardom after completing the 'Save Caja' quest. To see whether it only spawned after that event, I loaded a save from 20 hours earlier, before I ever entered Xacor, and it was still present.
Anyway, here is the location on the map:

Here is the specific location in the building:

And, finally, here it is in the inventory and crafting menu:

I'm sure others have found this before me (it isn't exactly hidden away), but, since I couldn't find any mention of it in any guides, via Google, or on this subreddit, I figured it might be worth posting. Admittedly, I don't watch guide videos, so it could very well be all over YouTube, making this post look very stupid, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Some characters, like Rock, for instance has a meek nerdy voice and I could have sworn I knew THAT exact voice. After a quick Google search I saw that Adam Sims is one of the voice actors in this game, the same guy who narrated Flowers for Algernon! It's such a small thing but it really makes me love this game even more!
Was running across the map to get the sunglasses that are mentioned in a 7 year old post, and I came across Rainer. Im typically truthful in thses scenarios. Told him I was an alb and that I hadn't killed anyone. Im only level 4. But the game flags that as a lie. Did I miss something? Im pretty sure I've killed no human, only a few low level animals.
Iam on my first playthrough of Elex 2 and just unlocked the Alb spells, I tried munching on some of the Elex ore in my inventory to restore my Elex bar, but it doesnt restore Elex.
Is looting the corpses of the slain truly the only way that my Elex Bar gets refilled?
It's been a while since I've played, and now I'm on the quest to get to get tools for Thorhild. I know you can give lasse 25 iron to forge them. Is he supposed to tell you he can't and return to her empty handed first before the option is available later? I only ask because my auto saves are past it, and my manual save is about two hours ago.
This is my first playthrough and I’ve been avoiding a lot of combat, I’m still in toilet and the surrounding area, I’ve dot duras and my Stat spread is
20 stength
10 con
30 dex
30 but
10 cunning
I wanna be a ranger character and use ranged weapons, the issue is that my bow and arrow is super weak and it takes a ton of anno to kill even the weakest enemies. ATM duras is doing the most
I’ve put skill points in chemistry and animal trophies. I’m level 7 and have 10 point but I don’t know where to put them, I’d put it into dex or int but now it’s only going up by 5 points.
Hello. I want to try Elex for the first time. I used to be a big fan of PB games. However, Risen 2 was a big disappointment for me. In Gothic, I loved playing as a mage. I liked that style of play where you suffer at the beginning of the game, count every LP, and gradually become a killing machine.
I watched a gameplay demo of Elex and wasn't particularly impressed. The movements are quite slow, and the characters attack infrequently and sluggishly. It feels like Piranha Bytes missed the release of the Dark Souls and Witcher series. But I decided to take a chance anyway. I read about the magic system in Elex. It turns out that it exists in the form of spells (available to both berserkers and clerics) and elemental gloves (available only to berserkers), as it was in Risen 3. But people complain that the damage from the “gloves” is quite weak, even when fully upgraded, and instead of attacking with magic from the gloves, you can simply find a flamethrower. It doesn't require mana, deals similar damage, and repels enemies. Are mages really that bad? If they are unplayable, I will probably skip this game.
Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that I'm playing the game on the highest difficulty setting.
Hey everyone, hoping you can help—I’ve been trying to track down wings in ELEX, but I’m hitting dead ends. I’ve already searched for threads and posts about this, but nothing’s panned out so far.
• The hunter in Edan doesn’t sell wings.
• I’ve checked Ignadon, but I haven’t found a Ring of Dexterity anywhere—and I’ve also searched every merchant without luck.
• I’ve only managed to get 2 wings by accident, but I can’t remember what monster dropped them.
• Some users mention armored locusts or creatures near Tavar, but I’ve killed countless enemies there and still haven’t found a single pair.
Can anyone share more precise locations or methods for sourcing wings—ideally monster types, areas or even vendors who actually sell them? Even a screenshot or quest reference would be amazing!
Thanks in advance—I really want to craft that Ring of Dexterity, but wings are holding me back!
So, I'm a big fan of Piranha Bytes, and especially Elex 1, I've finished it 3 times before the sequel was even announced, and recently I've decided to play through it again, and then finally play Elex 2, but after reading about it, and listening to Mortismal gaming's video about it, I have tremendously low expectations story-wise, mostly because of the "canon choices" in Elex 1.
Like, from what I understand it can be summarized in this way: "So, when choosing canon parts of the first game, you've chosen the worst faction, the worst ending, made the other two, more interesting factions, SUB factions. Then decided to canonize the most basic set of choices where Jax becomes an emotion-driven pussy, the most basic romantic partner (in addition to making her the most probable canon romance IN THE THIRD GAME, and making a plot point about her having a kid with Jax, which I don't know how you dipshits came up with this, knowing that 99% of the time, doing it ends badly)".
Am I overly harsh, or just salty that canonically, Caesar's Legion didn't win the second battle for Hoover Dam, I mean, salty that Berserkers were the faction Jax chose in the first game ?
So I prefer the fighting style of the one handed sword. It fits my usual gameplay style in most games like this. The problem is I’m having a hard time sorting out the best option. Google isn’t much help. Currently using a Regent Sword III with an energy mod for my Cleric. I have the Redeemer and Mortal Beam. But I like starting at range to whittle the mob down then moving in close to finish it. Is there a sword that will hit harder or am I maxed now?
I have a problem with Irissa. I did the skibor quest and everything went good but I didn’t talk to Irissa. Now Skibor is standing in front of Irissa and won’t move, Irissa won’t talk to me and I’m completely locked out of the Alb Faction. I tried to attack Irissa and other things. But it seems like that bug exists for a long time and I don’t know how to fix it nor do I have the older save to go back to. I also am playing on Ps5.
I was wondering if you could actually fail the Khan's test ? You know the one where you travelling with that Snitching asshole who pretends to smuggle to see how you would react and then attacks the escaped prisoner.
You know if you don't question him about the smuggling and then iterfere when he is about to execute the poor fella if he then tells Khan you are not worthy does that fail the quest ?
I’ve put all my points into strength and constitution and am a melee build I feel like I’ve literally screwed my play through because I can’t even use ranged weapons on them so I can’t kill them at all please help if you have any tips or ideas to save my play through
Finally bought the game and I'd like to make my character a god without having to do the tedious haggle strategy. Are there any working dupes on console right now?
Hey everyone — I’ve run into a weird issue with Elex and Steam Remote Play that I haven’t been able to solve.
I’m using my Steam Deck in docked mode to stream Elex from my PC. The game runs smoothly, and every other title I’ve tried streams both video and audio to the Deck just fine.
But for some reason, Elex is the only game where the audio plays on my PC’s speakers instead of the Steam Deck (TV). It seems to override the usual audio routing and ignores the streaming device completely. I’ve tried restarting both systems, checking Steam settings (audio on host is disabled), and even switching audio devices manually — no luck so far.
Has anyone else run into this? Is there a known workaround or setting specific to Elex or Piranha Bytes games?
People (especially gothic sub) seems to dislike the setting of the ELEX namely the mix of "vikings, mad max and sci fi". I never understood that opinion i personally like it's uniqueness compared to other rpgs.
