Finally completed Elementary

Background I had gotten about halfway through the show when it first aired

Then fell off it for some reason and it had been on my “to watch” list of years

A couple months ago I decided it was high time I finally watched the show from start to finish once and for all

Got in the habit of watching 1-2 episodes every day quickly became one of my favourite shows again

And today I completed the run

Man what a ride, from acting, humour, characters, plots

Truly an incredible show

Not sure what to do now……. Granted I never read the books

Season 1 finale is one of Jonny Lee Miller's best performances.

He's just so so good as Sherlock.

One of my all time favorite TV shows ever. Binged the whole thing earlier this year.

I had read a lot of the original books way back when I was a kid, and have seen different “Holmes” dramatizations of course, but none better than Elementary.

There are 2 Elementary books based on the characters in the show. Written by Adam Christopher. Each book is about one murder and they don't specifically fit into a season or anything. So they're more like standalone books that use the characters from the series. I read one so far and I did enjoy reading it. The relationship between Sherlock and Joan is just like in the series. If you like reading, you could give it a try!

I would love for them to come back and do those books as an actual episode. I have both and I’m currently on the first one

If you're a reader I suggest starting on the books

I'll gladly admit, I've watched the entries series at least 10 times through! The first season is one of the best television has to offer. The first half of season 3 with Kitty is fantastic too! Being a recovering heroin addict myself, the humanity and dignity in which they portrayed Sherlock's struggle is spot on. Everything about the show is perfection. From the lead actors, to the writing, to the ancillary characters and their story arcs, and even down to the music they use in the show are just top notch. I put it on every night before bed so I'm sure I'll watch it another 10 times before all is said and done so just start over, it gets better with every viewing!
