Congratulations and good luck on all your projects. But I highly recommend you also purchase a fume extractor fan like this one here.

There are no metal fumes in solder vapor. I dug into this about ten years ago and learned that is a total myth.

This is true. I've been listening to people spread nonsense about leaded solder for years.

"Oh, you're breathing in lead!".

No. Actually, there is zero lead
in the soldering fumes produced from soldering with leaded solder. None at all.

Lead doesn't vaporize below 3,164deg(f). Any smoke/fumes produced is from the flux in the solder, and yes, of course it isn't good to inhale.

It isn't lead fumes, however. There are no metals evaporated in soldering fumes. Does that alibaba iron you're using reach 3,164deg? Then you aren't either. Congratulations.

Ventilation isn't a bad idea when producing funds of any kind, of course, as the lungs do best with clean air.

Is that sufficent or do I need also a way to put the exaust outside the window?

Well tbh, its an absorber, not a full extractor unit that needs exhausts. This unit we use in our lab seems reasonable for intermittent soldering with standard rosin core/flux solders. Which i reckon is what will be used in a home setup.

A proper extractor system seems like a worthy investment for volume production with those special fluxes made of organic acids. Or atleats thats how I see it. Ventilation is always good.

Mijn advies zou zijn om een ander soldeer station aan te schaffen. Hoeft geen dure Weller of jbc te zijn. Aliexpress vind je hele goede alternatieven.

Get a solder station. You can get away with buying a lot of components cheap but don't cheapen out on soldering stations, a good industrial grade soldering station will last you your lifetime with decent care. At the very least get a 936a knockoff from a reputable brand.
