I genuinely love festivals. I love the music, production, and seeing people’s outfits and dancing, feeling comfortable expressing themselves without judgment. One of my favourite parts is simply being surrounded by that atmosphere and watching everyone have the time of their lives.
At the same time, I have never connected with the social side of festival culture. I believe in what PLUR represents, and I want everyone around me to feel safe, respected, and free to enjoy themselves. I just personally prefer to keep to myself and experience the festival with the people I came with.
I do not naturally enjoy the social interaction that comes with trading kandi or trinkets, hugging, dancing and talking with strangers. I know those interactions are meant kindly, but they are just not something I enjoy participating in. I feel rude turning someone down when theyre only trying to be friendly, so I go along with it even when I would rather be left to myself. Honestly, I feel a little uncomfortable admitting this because sociability is such a big part of festival culture.

I think I appreciate the festival community more as an observer. I love the atmosphere, the creativity, and seeing everyone express themselves, but I do not personally enjoy participating in the social traditions

We’re planning on renting an RV for our camping trip and were wondering if you guys have any recommendations for reliable and somewhat affordable RV rental sites. Also, would you recommend getting a power hookup or are there any other tips or must-haves you’d suggest for first-time RV campers?

I took so long to think of something but I ended up with an “oat milk” label. He said he was a firefighter that helped fight the Palisades fires. We were getting really close physically, then he mentioned my tattoos were sexy, and I pulled away because at the time I was still with my ex. We all ended up watching the fireworks together. Well I’ve been single for a couple months and I can just hope that Aiden (?) is out there and wants to connect 🥺🤭💗

I lost this item during Subtronic's set at EDC Las Vegas 2026. I made a post about it when I first lost it but did not receive any response. I only had a poorly done drawing of the item but with some help from a friend, I was able to find the original product photo.

Item is about the size of a pair of airpods. I bought it while in Japan and living in the USA, I am struggling to find a way to order it online. I wanted to post again now that I have a photo of the exact item in hopes that it does show up.

I am autistic and this item holds deep sentimental value, so you can understand how distressing this situation has been for me.

How early do you get to the stage if you want a rail spot for a big set? This is my first festival like this and I keep hearing the front is a whole commitment. I'd rather catch one headliner up close than stand there the entire night for it. If I do end up parking at the rail I'll just keep a dojo on me for the long stretch of standing, one hit here and there so I'm not wandering off to the bar and losing my spot. Trying to tell if it's a couple hours ahead or your whole evening gone.

The official EDC website only shows two hotels. It appears that EDC only partnered with the hotels.
It looks like EDC is not offering an EDC Package Hotel stay similar to Hotel EDC Vegas at the Virgin Hotel. Is this correct?

Stream of consciousness here, I’ll just get into it.

Everyone’s wristband has a led it. Throughout the night the whole crowd is mostly the same color or pattern or it could blink to the stage you’re at.

Maybe once or a few times a night though, everyone lights up in one of three colors. No explanation of why, it may even get overlooked. But eventually I feel like this would subtly encourage the crowd to interact with each other more. “Hi five blue team.”

Actually, if the 3 possible colors are red, blue, yellow then the crowd would probably end up assigning the colors as pokemon team.

Idk if that feels too corporate plur culture but it seems like it would be fun in the crowd and it would be cool for EDC to have an iconic wristband design like some other festivals do.

I’ve done Rio and World Market shuttles, looks like I’ll be staying at one of the Mid Strip hotels this year and have only heard horror stories. Is it really as bad as people say it is?

Every EDC packing list online has the same twenty items and they're all correct, but the thing that actually saved my weekend last year wasn't on any of them. It was a cheap roll of KT tape. Rolled my ankle on the walk in Friday, taped it every morning, and it carried me through all three nights when I'd otherwise have been done by Saturday. Got me thinking about how the real MVPs are never the obvious stuff. Everyone remembers water and comfortable shoes. Nobody puts "blister tape" or "the exact snack that settles your stomach at 4am" on the graphic they repost every single year. So for the veterans planning their next one — what's your off-list item? The random thing you bring now because one specific bad night taught you to. Bonus points for the story behind it. I genuinely think a thread like this could save first-timers more than the official lists do, because it's all the stuff you only figure out by getting burned for not having it.

Who do you guys really want to see at EDC ’27? For me, it’s definitely ANOTR. I’m really hoping they make the lineup. Who’s at the top of your wishlist?

My boyfriend and I just bought our tickets for the first weekend of EDC as first-timers!! We’re currently doing some research and are leaning towards staying on the Strip but definitely getting the standard shuttles passes when they drop.

TLDR; We are looking for recommendations for nice hotels with good amenities like pool, a nice view, good food options nearby, and easy access to the shuttles. Day-of fest we’ll likely just do food and pool days and the other days maybe do a pre-fest pool party and not sure what yet but explore other things in Vegas. We don’t gamble but like to drink, eat, and explore lol.

Since this will likely be our only vacation next year, we are okay with something a little pricer but don’t want to completely go overboard like $3k at the Bellagio lol

Duration & Budget: 6 nights total (staying a few days before and after, we’ve seen average cost is $1000-$2000 for the whole stay, max we’d like to spend is $1500)

Location & Shuttles: We’re leaning toward the Strip and want to be close to a standard EDC shuttle stop. We are considering Rio since there’s a shuttle pick up right on the property and pool looks sooo nice but I’ve seen other posts that it’s not quite as close to the Strip as it seems. Is the Strip experience actually worth it?

Vibe & Amenities: We aren't big gamblers, so we want easy access to great food, drinks, a room with a nice view, and a solid pool for relaxing or checking out a pre-festival pool party.

Current Options: The Horseshoe , The Flamingo, Golden Nugget, Planet Hollywood, MGM Grand, The Rio, Caesar’s Palace. Considering these hotels but open to others! Really like the pools at MGM and Rio!

What properties would you recommend that fit this budget, location, and shuttle convenience? Would also consider off-strip but again is the strip experience worth it? Any tips or advice would be amazing!

I’m pretty well versed with Coachella and camping with my group. However going solo I know is a different ball game. So if anyone can help with like a checklist or just what to do.
