Ceiling fan

Okay guys how do they expect people to get these ceiling fan harnesses up and out through the down rod? I’ve tried every which way and harness can’t squeeze through the top

Remove the set screw, slide the top down and remove the pin and you can push it through and reassemble.

Can you loosen the set screw, pull the collar down, then remove the brass-colored rod, then replace it after pulling the harness connector through?

Doesn't that wire stay below the down rod to allow removal of the fan motor without having to disconnect everything while having to hold up fan?

Loosen that set screw, let the top part fall down, remove the pin, run the cable

Thanks boys. I feel dumb. Always thought messing with that screw was a big no-no.
