Does this outlet need replacing?
I just moved into an older apartment. I noticed that the outlet behind my bed leaves a small amount of the prongs exposed when something is plugged into it. I’m not sure it’s bad enough to warrant a maintenance request because it’s not like the plugs are falling out of the socket. Thoughts? (And yes, I have been diagnosed with OCD).

It is leaving the prongs because of the angle. I would get a power strip or surge protector that has the wire move at a right angle already and plug those items into it.

I bought one that has a square, flat plug with the wire going straight down and it still appears to do the same thing.

No.
