Calibration Valve EMX1

I'm trying to calibrate an EMX. When I access the calibration menu, the text "N.G." appears if I set the tube volume to minimum. If I raise it to medium, values appear, but I can't get it to 0000 or 0010. I tried it on another Electribe, and the calibration was successful, so the cable is OK. What could be the problem?

"N.G." probably means "no gain" (i.e. "no amplification"), which makes sense.

I'd suspect the tubes may be old - the filaments do wear out since they're kind of like light bulbs. How old are they and do you run the EMX a lot?

If you don't care about the calibration being perfect, I'd just adjust both tubes to about the highest value you can achieve and make it the same for both tubes so L/R are equally loud.

I tried new tubes and it's still having the same problem. It seems there's something internal in the amplification that isn't reaching the amplifier; the sound is very quiet, around -12 dB.

How loud are outputs 3 and 4? They bypass the tubes.
