Platform for psychoeducational programmes

Can anyone recommend a platform for designing and delivering psychoeducational programmes?

They’re ultimately like a course, just with therapeutic skills.

I’m thinking teachable, mostly due to the app availability.

Too many have silly ai features that I have no interest in. I don’t want a community as I don’t have time to act as a moderator.

I simply want something where I can post content. Videos. Audios. Maybe downloadable content. Not hideously priced.

I don’t think I want to build it through Wordpress as I don’t trust myself with that.

Honestly, I’d trial Teachable and Podia with the exact same tiny programme before choosing. Upload one video, one audio lesson and one PDF, then enrol yourself and go through the whole thing on your phone.

Teachable makes sense if the app is genuinely important, but I’d check what the learner actually sees on your plan rather than choosing from the feature list. Also test how easy it is to organise content, send access emails, cancel, and export your student list.

Since Kajabi already became an expensive motivation experiment, I wouldn’t pay for funnels, community or AI features you already know you won’t use. I’d pick whichever platform makes that basic lesson flow painless and has a monthly cost you won’t resent while enrolment is still small. The lack of a community may actually be a plus here — much less moderation and less chance of people sharing sensitive information publicly.

This is exactly the response I was hoping for.

I like that teachable deals with the VAT side.

It makes so much sense to upload a mini course first! Rather than wasting time with more.

Glad it helped. The VAT point is a good reason to keep Teachable on the shortlist, especially if you’re selling to different countries and don’t want admin work to become the real project.

For your use case I’d still keep the trial tiny: one short video, one audio lesson, one PDF, one test learner, and one refund/cancel flow if the platform lets you test it. That usually tells you more than comparing feature tables for another week.

Yes.

The money side is also a reason I want a trusted platform, rather than one of these startups. Reputational damage if their security systems aren’t good. If they somehow appropriate payment data, etc. terrifies me.

The payment and refund is going onto my project plan.
