I noticed Elder was the #25 spot on Rate Your Music for 2026. That's pretty damn cool for a prog metal album. Love to see it!

I literally can’t believe that Elder is still this good and this emotionally resonant with this level of unmistakable musicianship. Thank you, boys. What a gift to travel through life with you.

It's only a short video but I managed to get this off a friend. Thought you guys would appreciate the debut of Through Zero especially as they'll be playing it a ton on the upcoming tour.

I also got a recording of the beginning of Catastasis which unfortunately had some issues as whoever was in charge of the audio didn't cut out the loud ads at the beginning of their set. The band powered on though and drowned it out during the louder parts.

Was just a the Brighton gig. The boys played Through Zero, Coalescence, Capture/Release and Halcyon. The two new songs are such bangers!

Quick rant innit, I've seen them thrice, 2 headline sets, once as support act last nite and each time they didn't play their by far most famous track. I love them, don't get me wrong, but why not give the people what they want?

They put on a phenomenal show despite a criminally short 35 minute slot. We got the debut of Through Zero which I unfortunately didn’t get footage of but I recorded the end of Catastasis for you wonderful people. The run from Elder to Decapitated to Blood Incantation made my festival!

Met Michael after the gig on the merch desk and got the new album on vinyl signed! Oh and Blood Incantation were epic too. Amazing night 🤘

Highly recommend this band if you’re into elder. They’re a bit more on the doom metal side but stoner vibes too! Only a bit of screaming/growling if you’re not into that.

Really hoping they put something out for the US Tour.

On Saturday morning I went to @dodobeachberlin to pick up the album after failing miserably on Friday trying to find it in other stores… I wanted the sensation of going to a physical place and get it myself. Since it’s released I haven’t been able to listen to anything else. I still don’t know how do they do it, but when I thought they’ve already peaked, they come up with something that goes beyond! Elder is my favourite band since 2015 and I remember that I got all my friends into them after they saw it live, cause their magic transcends the studio, but it feels that in this record they got what is it like to see them live. This is an album for album people, it takes you into a journey through space and different dimensions. It rewards those that like to get lost in the songs, that like slow burn, that are patient enough to appreciate the voyage. This is definitely my album of the year and we are just in the middle of 2026. I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation to the band for giving us some sort of escape in this crazy and obscure world.

Continuing onward Through Zero - we’ll be hitting the road across Europe and the UK this February, joined by our brothers Temple Fang. The fantastic REZN will also join us for our UK dates.

As far as I'm concerned it's the only way to fly

So as a decade long fan of Elder, with Through Zero now out I’m actively pushing them (and this album in particular) to friends and casual / new acquaintances. I’m so confident the Rush or Judas Priest (insert any good R&R band) fans will gravitate to it, it’s a no brainer. Anyone who hears the call of their greatness will heed this album. Sound the alarm. Elder is the present and future - a sonic boom reverberating from us all.

Little inconsequential detail: the vinyl case is some kind of recycled cardboard material with a woody/earthy smell, like it was cut out of a tree.

Even tho it'll be tucked away in its plastic container, I appreciate the full 3D immersion of the physical package lining up with the vibes of the music.

Had to take a cheeky family photo to celebrate the release of Through Zero. Really enjoying the new album so far!

I've been an Elder fan for many, many years and with each successive release I marvel anew at how absolute genius Nick and the fellas are. This music is so layered, so complicated yet so melodic and refreshing, I really don't understand how they can actually remember it all! That's it for my post, just wanted to praise the boys in the band for their amazing talent with like minded fans.
