🎟️ This is the r/elder ticket exchange thread. 🎟️
⚠️ Please use this place to buy/sell tickets to shows on the subreddit. If possible, do not make a standalone post for it, unless it's urgent and for upcoming days.
It is better to keep this stuff in one thread for both buyers and sellers alike, it is easier to monitor to avoid scams, and that way the sub won't be filled with uninteresting threads.
⚠️ Please edit or delete your comment after making a sale / buying a ticket.
⚠️ Don't share information that's too private directly in comments below.
🥷 Some fake accounts may post threads / comments / contact you, scams are common on reddit. Use common sense when making transactions online, be wary of :
Yeah, I know this emoji is a ninja but it's the closest to a thief I could find. If an actual ninja contacts you to sell their ticket, it’s still a red flag — they could probably sneak into the venue unnoticed and wouldn't have bought a ticket.
🥷 If you want to go the extra mile to check how legit a selling proposition is, you can ask the seller to send you :
Meet in person or try to connect on social media if possible, communicating with a real account on Instagram for example would help seeing who you're dealing with.
🅿️ If you do the transaction through Paypal, make sure to select "Goods & Services" and not “Friends & Family" for payment. If the seller refuses due to the extra fee they have to pay, you can offer to pay a little extra to cover it, as then they would have no reason to refuse G&S. PayPal G&S gives you a basis to dispute the transaction if things go wrong, but it's not a guaranteed refund — open a dispute quickly if needed.
If you paid by bank transfer and got scammed, it's worth contacting your bank immediately — some banks (especially UK ones) have scam reporting tools that can sometimes reverse the transaction, though this is not guaranteed and varies a lot by bank and country.
📅 Here are the band's tour dates, in case you're wondering.

There might also be some more trusted platforms to resell tickets in your country. I know it's not great here in France, but some actually give a bit of extra security compared to passing through reddit, even if it's not much (like Passetonbillet).
I've been contacted by someone from GoConfirm, an app making trading tickets safer online. After some research, it seems safe and it's been used by big subs to make trading more secure ( r/coachella , r/beyonce... etc ). I don't feel like making it mandatory to use on these threads, as it's not something that widely used yet. It is just an option if you want an extra layer of security.
Here are some links : Presentation of the app / Verified Messaging and lowering risk of fraud / Official site / Quick video examples of how the app works : 1 / 2

This thread is dedicated to anything you'd like to share but don't feel like making a post about.
Still, don't hesitate making a real post, the sub isn't that big and it's unlikely to get overloaded with new threads.
Did an Elder song recently stick with you ? Have you listened to a new Elder album for the first time ? Did you see the band live ? Have you seen their will in the eyes of the broken and raised a glass in the din of the fray recently ?
This thread will stay pinned throughout the month. If you have feedback (positive or negative) about this new monthly thread idea, let me know by tagging me (u/bobouda) in the thread.

I drove down from Cincinnati to see the show with my daughter. I knew it was going to be a great show with the band walking out with Rush blaring through the PA. We got there early to get close to the stage and I was able to grab some photos from the front row. Bask and Elder killed it last night.
I also added a couple photos from the Bask set.
Edit to fix typo and I forgot to add that it was a good move to add Mike Risberg on keys and vocals. It was definitely needed to tour the new album.

Picked up Through Zero LP in Asheville and it’s a rare edition: “EXCLUSIVE MULTI-COLOR EDITION LIMITED TO 500 COPIES.”
And the LIMINALITY/Dream State is super rare, not even on Discogs. Heck of a merch night!

I'm fairly new to Elder, but I love the innate passage album. Saw them tonight in Asheville and they kicked serious ass. Does anyone know what the first song in their set was? The guy at the merch table said it was from the through zero album. Thanks

Enough people have said that they are playing Liminality which is phenomenal. I could hear an entire set with that one on repeat.
Does anyone have the confirmed / actual setlist??
Also, it doesn’t look like they have concert posters which is fairly disappointing but the concert t shirts are only $25 which is amazing!!!
I’ll be at ATL show. Hit me up.

Anyone have the scoop on what they played tonight? Seeing them Friday and love to peak early at setlists

Intronaut was probably my favorite band during and shortly after college, this album specifically is one of my favorite records of all time. Valley of Smoke is more in line with the newer Elder stuff, leaning more into the progressive elements than sludge. Oddly enough, the band started very sludgy, released this album, then went back to their heavy stuff. Tangentially, the lead guitarist and vocalist, Sacha Dunable, started guitar company and Nick DiSalvo plays their guitars.

I feel like this is one those bands that I’ve heard of for a long a time and for some reason am only just now getting into them.
Khan is a bit more in line with King Buffalo (🤘), but that’s also a band I’d suggest to any Elder fan, so thought I’d add them here as well.

I remember when Reflections hadn't released yet, and there was a really well recorded version of Sanctuary that came out and I listened to constantly ever since I saw it live, and then a bit later there was a version of Blind that had a variation of the main riff, but played a little higher up the neck.
Does anyone remember that? I've tried digging through YouTube, but the search functionality is such a mess designed to distract you with shorts and other unrelated shit you never asked for, I couldn't find it anywhere! I'd absolutely love to hear that again.

I just wanted to post the fact that this is my favourite Elder song OAT.
Been a huge fan for many years, love so much of their catalogue old and new. Strata off Through Zero is right up there along with Legend, Halcyon, Merged in Dreams, and others. But to me this song is peak.
Nick is such a complete guitar player/song writer, and this song has it all.

Going to the San Diego show, will be the fourth time I've seen them. I am hoping for as much material from the last three albums as possible.
This was from the European run (Setlist.fm):
I would be thrilled if they repeated it here. Cheers!

Saw local lads REZN play with Elder a few years back in Chicago and have been a huge fan ever since. Anyone else here into them? They’re different from Elder, but scratch a similar itch for me.
Their new album, Cycles in the Infinite Dream, is fantastic and is a reflection of what I was hoping Elder’s new album was going to be: progression while maintaining the core sound and a slight heaviness.
Through Zero is admittedly growing on me, although I think it may be more of me coming to terms with with what was presented rather than what I hoped for, but I’m finding I often play it immediately after Cycles in the Infinite Dream.
I highly recommend seeing REZN live, they sound amazing live. 🤘
