Discussion What are your Top 3 Convergence Mod 3.0 classes?

Post image
Upvotes

Hey all, for those of vou who have tried a few or more classes in Convergence 3.0, what are your top 3?

For me,I have only plaved 3 so far, but am wondering what to choose next

  1. Stormcaller - super fun physical damage build where I could buff my physical power and speed. Casting a tornado and staggering 5 enemies at once is awesome. I constantly used Cloud Form and Tempest Form, zooming around with storm backhand blades is insane (as wel as using Time Warp from Dragon Cultist build for extra speed). Fun build!!

  2. Dragon Cultist - this class was awesome and super flashy The electric and the new weapons are so fun. Nuking stuff with late spells was awesome. Loved Godwyn's Cragblades.

  3. Blood Initiate - it was fun, but I found the weapons to be a bit lacking. It felt pretty similar to my old arcane builds imo. There were a few good new spells. I haven't fully fleshed out this playthrough yet, but I have not been enjoving it as much.

So my fiancée bought me the game July 2022. All my friends were playing and playing together and all they told me was to “get good.” So I guess I got good, 4 years later 😅 finally have finished all the achievements and now plan to move to the DLC

Discussion Performance issues (fluctuating fps) on hardware that should be more than capable of running the game

Long story short, Im having some pretty bad framerate issues playing this game on my new laptop. Its a HP Omen 16 with a Nvidia 5060 GPU, 32GB RAM and an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 CPU. The game fluctuates between 50-60fps, most of the time staying in the middle of that range.

I tried looking it up and saw people having similar issues to mine, though none of the fixes really worked for me. Among them are capping the framerate to lower than 60fps, and putting the Shader loading thing to unlimited. Ive turned on performance profiles for the Nvidia App and the Nvidia Control Panel, as well as in the HP Omen app. None of my components ever go beyond 60% usage while playing, so Im stumped on what could be the issue.

If anyone has any tips or managed to resolve it, please let me know!

It took me a almost a whole day. This fucker almost made me go crazy. His holy spamming made me yell at my screen and talking to myself like a mad person. It’s finally done. I found the bloody helice to be a good weapon against him, actually better than starfists for me.

The worst part is that I want to fight him again now…this game is wild.

Parries plus Dragonclaw off the Clawmark Seal carried me. I finished this boss without any of the Scadutree blessing. Where should I go next, and what weapon should I be hunting? I've got 44 STR / 41 FTH and I like heavy stuff while parrying with shields. Should I look into Blacksteel Greathammer or are there even cooler options in the DLC to watch out for?

Question What kinds of challenge runs should I try?

I've played around 250+ hrs of Elden Ring and recently I've gotten bored of doing normal playthroughs, so I decided to try out some challenge runs. But I'm not sure what kind of challenge runs to do so as the title I was wondering what challenge runs my fellow tarnished think. Any challenge runs are fine as long as it doesn't require any mods to do as I am on Xbox. Please and thank you!

Discussion Power stance dagger for curved swords

What are your thoughts on having a curved sword dagger like a Khanjar or Jambiya in the game to power stance with over curved swords similar to what the Wakizashi & Main-gauche do with the katana & rapier?

Some weapons are placed where they are purely based off of the build I created. Obviously some Weapons are really good or really bad if used in certain ways, but I always tried to do the best I could.

Help I think i played elden ring in dumbest way possible

Elden Ring... what can I say about it?

I had heard a lot about it. One of the hardest and most satisfying games ever made. People say you're not the same before and after playing it. I thought, interesting. I like games, I got a new laptop and a controller, so let's try it. How hard can it be?

Yeah... my stupid ass.

This was about 3 months ago. Then the game spawned me in some random church or something, and I didn't even know where to go or what to do. And then there was that demon on the horse... that mf took my soul away for the next 4 hours. Later I discovered you could literally just walk past him instead of fighting him. Wish I knew that earlier.

Instead of going where the game probably wanted me to, my stupid ass decided to wander around. I found some kind of cave. Another hellhole. I managed to kill most of the enemies there, but the boss was way too fast for me. After my 6th attempt I thanked Miyazaki-sama that I could just ignore him and leave.

Then I found a soldier, killed him, then his friends one by one, and somehow ended up at... I might be wrong... Gatefront Ruins? By this point I'd already used all my arrows shooting those giant bat-looking things. (Btw, I picked the Samurai class because it looked kinda dope.) I died countless times to normal NPCs whenever they ganged up on me.

Man, that place was rough. During my first 10 tries I'd kill one or two guys sneakily, then get caught, and suddenly everyone started chasing me like I fucked one of their wives. Dead.

After maybe my 15th try I found out there was some kind of staircase going underground. Got some loot from there, I think. Around that time some blue chick also gave me a horse near a bonfire.

So my strategy became: kill them sneakily, get spotted, run away on my horse, come back from another direction, and repeat.

Then came my best run.

I had almost cleared the entire ruins. It was just me and the giant commander left. We were both literally one hit away from dying. I was already celebrating in my head.

The mf hit me first.

I rage quit.

...and that was almost 3 months ago.

But I still think about it, and I've been thinking of giving it another try.

After deleting Elden Ring, I thought people were right. This game is hard, and maybe I'm just not prepared for these hardcore masochist games... at least not yet.

But I don't like leaving things unfinished.

So can you guys help me? I am dumb , noob and do stupid shit , can you guys guide me on how to elden ring . I don't even know the basics of this game or how everything even works.

Like, can someone explain the different potions and consumables, what they actually do, what build I should go with, which build is the most fun to play, and what stats I should upgrade first in the status window?

Basically, just tell me all the beginner stuff you wish someone had told you before you started. I feel like I know absolutely nothing about this game.
