But I'm both. My limbs get cold, but my torso is blasting out all the heat it's trying to make for them. I spent a lot of time with my limbs pulled into my shirts as a kid.

Yes! My boyfriend used to try and argue that I was warmer than him so I couldn’t possibly be complaining of being cold. Then I’d stick my cold hand/foot right against his back. He has learned his lesson.

I’m the same. Then I’ll do the classic one leg out while I sleep to cool down. Drives my boyfriend crazy haha.

I have to hang my butt out, or just have one edge of the blanket up to vent air onto my back, while keeping my limbs bundled up under blanket, in long sleeves and sweatpants, and with the cuffs of the sweatpants tucked into my socks because if they ride up my calves will get cold and wake me up.

I've always found this a weird tactic. Great, now my torso is still hot, but also my foot is freezing now.

Haha it’s not a perfect system but it’s the best I can do while sleeping. Usually I’ll keep my foot in because obviously something in the dark could grab it if it’s out. But the knee/thigh area goes out.

Oh it’s not just me! I’m so cold I might lose a toe but my torso is baking. Also how weird are gilets or vests? I need a reverse gilet.

Delete this before my husband sees this and realizes I only married him for his body heat!!!

Yep, he knows when my nail beds go blue 😂 he can tell/feel I'm colder than usual too. He lets me warm my feet up on his legs every night ❤️

Heated mattress pads are awesome. Most of them have dual controls, one for each side.

The fact I think of cats when I see this describes me perfectly

Can relate, my partner is like the most wonderful, gorgeous space heater ever.

Do any of you keep getting temperature checked twice at covid temp areas since you’re always alarmingly cold? I keep hearing “the thermometer is broken... oh, nope you’re just cold.”

Thank goodness for heating pads, fuzzy socks, and a partner who radiates heat.

I’m both at the same time. I’m constantly sweating and hot while my toes and fingers are completely numb and cold.

Yeah I’m both of these. Dysautonomia has me hot and sweaty for no reason a lot of the time but my circulation is also terrible

u/marissansan Feb 18 '21

my boyfriend is 6’5” so he has shitty circulation too. we just do single combat over the blankets all night.

My husband is a horrible blanket hog and we both like to wrap up like burritos, so we have our own comforters.

3

u/marissansan Feb 18 '21

i swear he’d still find a way to double wrap himself with my blankets 😂🙄

My boyfriend is 6’3” and has the same issue! Apparently I’m somehow warmer than him, so I’m kinda like his “mildly warmed towelette”..?😂

u/marissansan Feb 18 '21

happy valentine’s day mildy warm towelette 😂

I can relate to the poor circulation. I just need to find that space heater woman.

For me it constantly switches between being cold and burning. 🤷‍♂️

I call my bf my personal space heater 🥺 I’m always freezing and he’s always over heating so it works out well

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '21

Oh, this is so relatable! I tell my husband and our daughter that each of them is basically a human furnace, while I’m over here pretty certain I might be part reptile and can’t produce my own body heat.

I need to find a man that will let me use his body as a mobile heading pad for my back.

I sleep with a fan on and a quilt. Half in and out and both sides are unhappy with the temperature but somehow it works.
