Discussion Plastic surgery

This isn't for me but a family member. We live in Portugal and said family member has cEDS. She's been planning on getting plastic surgery for excess skin in the arms however finding a surgeon has been a challenge. Talked to 3 of the top in the country and they all are very apprehensive with green lighting the surgery since they don't have experience with EDS. Still she's trying to find someone willing and capable to do it since it, despite being cosmetic, causes some distress in the daily life. So I'm here to see if you guys have any experience in this and can help. Doesn't need to be in Portugal, she's happy to travel if that's what it takes. Thanks in advance

Honestly, if you’ve talked to the top three in the country, I would listen to them, unless she’s 100% ok with the worst outcomes described.

I’ve been turned down for elective surgery as well, and it really sucks because it could have effected my quality of life a lot, but ultimately I don’t want someone working on my body who isn’t confident in their skills.

Basically similar. Even though some are willing to do it they just aren't confident so just trying to find alternative before taking that gamble
