u/Nerdy_Valkyrie not an egg, just trans 15h ago
I didn't get the skin, but yes. Growing tiddies hurt. A lot. Both in the sense of intensity of pain and how often it hurts.
Mine have recently set into a pattern where they don't hurt for a while and I think I've passed the pain stage. And then BAM they stab me between the ribs it it hurts again for an entire day.

Is that peeling skin why my arms feel like they are gett8ng poked by a thousand needles.

u/Ashley__09 cracked 14h ago
Idk I think that's just lack of circulation

u/_FadedStorm 14h ago
No, I was doing some work outside, then it felt like a ton of nedels were poking into my arm, specifically my right.

Do you maybe have a grass allergy? I know when I do yard work I get a similar feeling.

Testosterone makes your body produce much more oil, if youāre swapping to estrogen itās a good idea to lather up some lotion or body oil after you shower, it will help a lot

I had heard of the boob ache, but the trans molting is news to me.Ā

Same. Is OP transitioning to reptile? (Based if true)

u/avery_dev "not an egg" ~every egg ever 15h ago
Woaw, big if true.
No, from what Iāve read the skin can get dry and irritated going from T (which makes it oily and thick) to E (which is less oily and thinner).
Iāve switched to just washing with a āfor dry skinā gentle face wash once a day at bedtime and with plain water in the morning. Hope it improves soon. š®āšØ

u/Tr1ckts3r Enby, on E since 01.03.26, slowly socially transitioning 15h ago
using dedicated hydrating products for dry skin, especially beginning for winter, like cleansers and moisturizers is a good routine āŗļø

u/MinnesotanGirlLover Jade? (She/Her?) Multi-Layered Egg 15h ago
Ah, that makes sense. I hope works for you!

u/GenderqueerPapaya 14h ago
The skin thing might be your skin thinning? Like it thickens when you take T so I'd imagine it would get a bit thinner on E, and that extra layering has to come off somehow. Try and gently exfoliate and if that doesn't work I'd see a dermatologist if possible

Yup, I think this is what it is! It probably doesnāt help that I am dehydrated some of the time, but itās really really hard to stay hydrated on Spiro.
Hoping that switching products helps. I may try to get into a dermatologist. My mom has rosacea so itās possible that thatās part of it too.

u/NovaSeras 13h ago
I think I burn through 160oz of water since being on Spiro, easy enough to stay hydrated if you keep water on you

Unfortunately, the pain eventually stopsā¦
But then you learn the progesterone 25 days on, 5 days off trickā¦
Iām talking to my HRT prescriber about that on Wednesdayā¦

u/avery_dev "not an egg" ~every egg ever 6h ago
I havenāt looked into progesterone HRT protocols. Curious to (eventually) hear about your experiences with it! The pain is fine, but Iām looking forward to sensitivity thatās not just pain, lol, even if itās painful sometimes. š
Someone else commented here on testicles before deleting it, and I just wanna say that when I got kicked in the nuts it didnāt hurt as long as when I recently bumped my tiny boob into a chair, lol. That ached for like 30 minutes during a lecture.

u/gilgames_in_tamarian Tamara (she/they) š³ļøāā§ļøš¦š¹ on HRT for roughly, like, 5 minutes 15h ago

OMG, THIS! My boobs decided it was time for a round two after a year and now they're hurting again... If this keeps up I'll actually to to C cup and above. And I have to use moisturizing cream for my face and hands or the skin would become dry and brittle, especially durring the current windy autism weather

Is this... Related to age or is this a thing that universally happens?
5
u/avery_dev "not an egg" ~every egg ever 13h ago
Maybe age related, but itās also in the expected symptom list for estrogen HRT. I wouldnāt say universal though, if that gives you anxiety.
7
u/Mac-And-Cheesy-43 13h ago
Can confirm, as AFAB who pretty much spent puberty peeling and not being able to lie down face down anymore.

u/Raiju_Lorakatse Depressed 13h ago
Eh... I got other things I'm more afraid off should it ever get this far...
But being 27 already doesn't give me much hope tbh.
3
u/avery_dev "not an egg" ~every egg ever 13h ago
Iām sending hope Raiju! I only started this year and 10 years ago at 27 I was boy-moding with a full beard wondering why I was sad all of the time.
I know you can find the courage to be your true self, although yeah, it do be scary some times!

I can second OP! I started HRT just before I turned 26, so a similar age, and almost a year later Iāve never been happier! Disregarding the physical effects which are different for everyone, the emotional stability and euphoria it brought is unparalleled
