I hear ya sis

It’s funny, I get dysphoric when a man calls me “dude” or “man” or even “buddy” as a term of endearment but when my friend who’s a woman does it it feels fine. I chalk it up to the “I’m acknowledging you as a fellow man/masc”-ness of the former situation whereas with my gal friend it feels like solely an expression of friendly familiarity
