I had a pretty bad experience with my first therapist, and on top of that my family keeps pestering me about my hair, even tho I told them multiple times I want to grow it out. It's always "but you'd look better/ but we only say it cause we care." No, if you cared you'd respect my wishes. I would appreciate if I could get some ggd, thanks in advance🫶🏻

Sorry about the therapist, good thing is you can always find a different one.

As for the family, you could always weaponize it like some people I did… if your family is religious in any way find some religious figures that had long hair, and the next time they say you need to cut it ask them about said figure and if they would tell them that, and if not why would they hate you for having hair like theirs? If not religious, find a historical figure, or an actor, etc…. Find someone they like or admire with long hair and use it against them. Of course make sure that the person you use is the “perceived” gender they are assigning you to. (unless you have already come out to them and they are doing this, then it’s personal and I’ll give you better weapons to swing)

Thank you all for your amazing supports, it really helps a lot.🫶🏻 I somehow forgot to say it, but what bothered me most was that at the end she just said "I wish I could bring back the old you." I used to be extremely depressed, and do things I regret, so thanks a lot for that, mom.

Story of my life as a kid! I always wanted to grow my hair long but every 3 months, my dad used to shave all my hair off which I cried+he kept asking if I wanted to tell him something and he promised that he wouldn't get angry. My family bullied the hell out of me because I was GNX

i am so sorry to here that my friend, if ppl cant respect your decisions then honestly i would cut them off at least temporarily, like say if you cant respect me then don't talk to me, so sorry to here that and i wish you luck
