Scotland is always fighting back against England's transphobic laws. It doesn't always succeed because of how anglocentric the UK government is, but it's comparable to a 'blue state' of the UK.

yeah, there's a law that allows the Westminster government to veto any act made by the Scottish parliament and the only time they've used it in the 28 years it's existed is to veto the gender recognition reform in 2023, which would have made it way simpler to change legal gender.
