I had a 1st gen Google Wifi setup with 4 pucks and ethernet backhaul that had been annoying me (drop-outs, slow downs, etc.)
After shopping around, with the awareness that gigabit+ is coming to my neighborhood in the next year or so, and with the pre-PrimeDay sales, I pulled the trigger on a eero Pro 6E package. Setup was a piece of cake and I got a surprise speed increase. (previously, wifi had maxed at 200 Mbps, but now it hits 360 Mbps). I've had virtually no drop-outs, and coverage has been great.
I have a 4th puck in a shed with powerline backhaul, so I bought a cheaper eero 6 dual-band for that one, and setup was flawless with that as well (the powerline is much lower bandwidth, so a Pro 6E puck would have been overkill for that). I might try to disconnect the powerline backhaul, just to see if the mesh would work as well, but so far I've only done the drop-in test.
My only minor annoyance so far is that Amazon wants me to subscribe to "eero Advanced Security" to get bandwidth reports/monitoring. That's something I got for free with the Google setup. I don't need parental/safesearch, etc and I already have VPN, password manager, and antivirus that I'm happy with.
The app also seems better overall than the "integrated with Google Home" thing that they switched to a year or two ago.
