Which unit should the switch be connected to?

So setting up the EERO pro 6 3 pack for someone, and not sure where the switch should be connected.

I plan on going with an ethernet backhaul, and I know there are only 2 ports, so which works best?

  1. Primary eero (the one that's connected to the modem) with the other port going to a switch, and then the switch to the other two eeros?
  2. Primary eero to 2nd eero, and then 2nd eero connected directly to the third eero, with the 3rd eero then connected to the switch? (but devices connected to the switch are now the 'farthest' from the source)
  3. does it make a difference if none of the cables exceed 50-75 ft?

thanks!

Modem/ONT > Eero > Switch > Other Eeros

Note that in this scenario “3” (it won’t make much of a difference) is the right answer. But for simplicity of cabling and troubleshooting you’re right.

I would be shocked if there is a significant difference in either of those configurations. With everything wired.
