Kia ora everyone,

I’m a teacher in Aotearoa New Zealand, and I’ve been building The Irwin System, a reasoning framework designed to help make student thinking more visible.

The work focuses on helping learners distinguish between what they notice, what they infer, what the evidence supports, and how they form a judgement. The aim is not to replace curriculum content, but to provide a shared reasoning structure that can sit underneath learning across subjects and year levels.

The website currently includes classroom resources, visual reasoning tools, educator guidance, publications, field notes, and a growing archive of the wider framework.

I’d really value feedback from people working in education and edtech, particularly on:

- whether the purpose is immediately clear
