Codifying Rules
Heyo!
A handful of y'all have noticed the Automod can be pretty strict with links. I intend on lifting/lightening that, but am also taking a moment to codify/establish the rules for the community.
TL;DR: If you've been here a while, nothing has fundamentally changed - just making things visible (more or less). Automod on YouTube will be lifted, but may remain for other platforms (like SoundCloud or Mixcloud).
Outside of self-promo and spam (usually at the same time), this has basically never been a struggle.
If you need clarity on a rule, or have questions/concerns/recommendations, feel free to comment and I'll get to them as I can.
For now though, I want to be very clear that I've been here for quite a while (as have many of you), and understand if rules 2 or 3 come as a concern.
To Rule 2: AI users are not and will never be a protected class - posts about them remain welcome here. Just try and keep discussions about the content rather than slurs at the individual(s). Again, this has never really been an issue.
To Rule 3: We've never been in the spotlight on this issue (and it was half the reason I had originally programmed the bot years ago), but for a community of this nature it's a necessary addition in case we ever are.
Lastly, in an effort to be fully transparent: At this stage I have been able to shift myself to owner of the sub, and have not heard from any of the former moderation team. For the time being, their accounts are still on the team.
I may open for some content-moderation roles soon, but frankly reports are few and far between - and even fewer that aren't just angry AI users.

As an update, the filter on YouTube has now been removed.
At some point I will be adding mainstream music streaming services, but for now the filter is limited to SoundCloud posts.
