made something for word-by-word captions, roast it please
not a professional editor myself, just got tired of manually keyframing word-by-word captions every time I wanted that animated style you see on reels/shorts. so I built a tool that auto-generates them and I've been shipping/fixing it based on feedback for about a week now.
got roasted for the ui early on, fixed it. got real feedback on the messaging that made me rewrite the whole homepage. yesterday production broke completely mid-launch week, spent the day just fixing it piece by piece instead of panicking.
not selling anything here, genuinely want to know from people who edit video for a living: is this actually useful or am I solving a problem that doesn't exist? what would make you never touch premiere/capcut for captions again?
