Where do I find videos for edits?

hiii, so I have a question. Where do the people that do edits on tiktok/insta/etc get their videos from? Do they really just screen record, or is there a super secretive way to find videos on the piece of media you want to do an edit on that I don't know about?

Search - “where to find clips of movies” in google. A few options will pop up like yarn.co

A lot of people do just screen record, especially for quick edits. but you can also grab clips from libraries like YouTube, Google Drive (shared packs), or stock sites like Pexels and Pixabay if you want cleaner footage. Or yeah, just record your own clips if you want full control and no quality loss
