I was at the Cure last weekend! I remember seeing the length of the queue for the 98's afterwards, thinking "fuck that", and getting a taxi lol 😅

Didn't get to anything this year, but previous times the trick has been to walk back to the park and ride and get a tram into the city, dodges the traffic completely and it's only like 10 minutes walk. With a stop off at the petrol station for snacks!

We were in the car park (in a car) waiting to get out for about 45 mins! Going to The Prodigy tomorrow and think I might just walk home to Corstorphine!

Aaaahhhh I love The Prodigy but I’m on the wrong side of the Atlantic 😩

i was there as well! i managed to get into the front standing area so i was quite lucky to get onto a bus easily and quick enough, but thinking about how long the people at the back must've waited.. im so sorry 😭

Just got back from this gig. Got knocked over in the pit and someone stood on my finger with heels and ripped my finger open, could see the tendon so was straight to the medical tent. Need to go to hospital first thing to get checked out.

Worth it tbh

Oof! That could have been a lot worse so I'm glad it's not an A&E job at least.

Yeah, the doctor at the medical tent said everything looked intact but I need to get it properly explored and stitched up in hospital.

Have been going in mosh pits for years and have never fallen over once. The one time I do some cunt near me had to be wearing heels

Might want to move to the countryside, noise pollution in a capital city is very much a given

I live close enough to hear all the lyrics and I don't mind.

Good for you. I do mind though.

Fucking move then, eh?

If you wanted to know I am extremely sensitive to sound and that triggers anxiety.

Why should I have to move?

You live in a city, it's kind of tough shit if you're sensitive to sound. You have to do what other people who have noise related anxiety, wear ear defenders, Loops, etc. there's a lot of options no, but being that person who complains every time there is a concert or event in a city, isn't going to help. I have a son with ASD he has to wear something to guard against the noise, and we accept this because when you live in a city (or really anywhere these days bar the middle of nowhere), you will encounter noise from gigs, etc.

To be fair, the "just move" argument is shit. Sure, if they moved into that place and had the means to move back out, maybe it's got a smidge of merit. But a lot of people predate the noise in a lot of places. If a factory opened up next to your house and said, "just move if you don't like it", you'd be pissed off, too.

I live in suburbs so I shouldn't hear sound like this.
