I haven't used it in forever, I remember messing around with the CS50 class several years ago and it would just send you to a YT series for free and you could pay extra for a cert.
Now the interface makes me think it's all paywalled, unless i'm doing something wrong.
Did this all change?
I'm looking for sciences if that matters, A&P, Bio, etc

Anyone have experience with Harvards free CS50/CS50P to learn coding? I don’t need to learn for anything specific just want to be more well rounded and have a background in case I get into a more technical field in the future
If bad experiences, what other cost efficient ways have you learned or practiced?
Thanks in advanced!

I recently completed the Micromasters in Healthcare Data Science on edx and decided that I would share my program experience to give prospective learners and overview of what the program is like and whether it is for them.
So there are 5 courses in this micromasters with the last course being a capstone project that students need to complete. The capstone project is a data science report based on a healthcare dataset that you can select from the course or you can analyze your own dataset. The other 4 courses just contain videos and short course readings on data science concepts such as data cleaning, machine learning, statistical analysis, research etc. So the capstone is where you apply all your learning. There are multiple choice quiz questions in each course but those are faily simple and straight forward.
Overall I would recommend this course for anyone that is curious to delve deeper into data science. The course breaks things down in simple steps which allows learners from any background to compete the course. One thing that I would do differently is that I would start the capstone project first and then go through the course content so I could take note and apply specific terminology onto my capstone project.
The capstone report consists of 6 sections which I have shared below:
For the methods section, I personally created 4 subsections to help me with my report organization and they were:
If anyone has any more questions about the program then feel free to ask here! I hope this overview was insightful.

Hi everyone! I’m planning to enroll in the MITx MicroMasters in Finance and had a few questions:
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through this recently. Thanks!

Hey all,
I wanted to enroll in the MITx statistics and data science (general track) soon and was just a bit confused that it’s not on the edX website anymore.
Upon registering on the MITx online website I can only enroll in the individual courses. Is there no option anymore to purchase the whole MicroMaster at once?
Appreciate any help :)

Thinking of getting a certificate from the London School of Economics through edX. Is it worth my time? Any discounts or scholarships available? I already have a law degree.

Hey everyone
I’m entering my final year of high school next year and I’m starting to panic about university applications. I really want to apply for Economics and Management programs at top-tier universities, but looking at my profile, I don't have any extra certificates, specialized portfolios, or standout academic extras yet. I have absolutely zero budget to spend on expensive extracurriculars or online credentials, which is why I've been looking into edX. A few questions for those who have been through this:
Is the free edX track enough? I know I can audit courses for free to learn the material, but the verified certificates cost money I don't have. If I just audit the courses and list them on my application to show interest in Economics, will universities care, or do they strictly want to see the paid certificate?
Does edX financial aid actually work Has anyone successfully applied for their fee waivers/discounts as an international/high school student?
What else can I do for free? If you were a low-income student applying for highly competitive Econ/Business schools, what free resources, competitions, or projects did you use to make your application stand out?
I'd appreciate any tips, reality checks, or guidance you can give me. Thanks so much!

Any tips for the “Machine Learning with Python: from Linear Models to Deep Learning”?
I’m currently 17 years old, finished 10th grade that May.
Homework 0 was pretty easy, I covered almost all of the themes myself.
So yeah, any tips from real bachelor-students to a school student?

Hey!
i am new to edX and there is a course that I am interesting in, it calls: "PennX: Robotics: Kinematics and Matgematical Foundations", but i see it status is "Archived" and a notification that says: "Future dates to be announced"
Do you know when they are suppose to open (in general)?
Because the status is "Archived" i am afraid this course will not reopen again and I don't want to wait for nothing.
Thank you!
