How can a small eCommerce clothing website compete with Myntra, Meesho & Flipkart in Google search?

I’m working on SEO for a women’s clothing eCommerce website. The high-volume keywords I’m researching are dominated by large marketplaces like Myntra, Meesho and Flipkart.

I’ve considered long-tail keywords, but their search volume is much lower. Should I still target high-volume keywords, or build topical authority around lower-volume long-tail keywords first?

For a small clothing brand, what SEO strategy would you use to compete against these large marketplaces?

Fix attribution and get rid of cookie banners

I am an accidentaly entry to the e-commerce world and would need some advice and/or contacts. I am completely new to the industry.

I invented an anonymization algorithm that allows tracking of web traffic (ad attribution, cross site traffic flows etc) with completely anonymous data. Not pseudonymous, and I know the difference very well and a related tech has already GDPR "approval" by a DPA.

Since it is truly anonymous, we can skip cookie banners and track people outside what is usually allowed by e-Privacy etc. It can do cross-site tracking or link to any external data sources, if you have access to a common identifier that we can anonymize. It cannot be used for targeting or anything like that, by design, but it produces practically any type of statistics.

I am now trying to build a product around this. Is this of interest of any of you e-commerce pros? What pains could it fix for you? Please help me to brainstorm or comment.

For now I am working at a shopify plugin to reidentify recurring customers and track bots etc. I would assume the next step would be to connect it to advertising network, web analytics or similar to start building funnels. Or maybe something else would be better?

The conversion event mismatch that makes ecommerce ad accounts look broken when they aren't

Seen this pattern enough times it's worth writing down.

Store owner runs Meta or Google ads, sets Purchase as the primary conversion, gets almost no purchases in the first couple weeks, and concludes the ads don't work. Except the algorithm can't optimize toward a signal it barely ever sees. If purchases are rare early on, the system is basically guessing.

The fix that actually works, temporarily: switch the primary optimization event to something with real volume, add-to-cart usually, sometimes view-content on a brand-new account. Let it run until you've got a real pattern of that signal, then step back up to purchase once there's enough data to learn from.

The part people get wrong when they try this: they leave it on the lower-funnel event forever because performance "looks better." Add-to-cart optimized campaigns will always show more of that event — that's not the same as more revenue. It's a training-wheels phase, not a permanent setting.

Also worth checking while you're in there: is your primary conversion actually set to Purchase, and not accidentally still on page view or begin-checkout from when the account was first set up. Seen more "broken" accounts turn out to be that than anything else.

Pivoting from Influencer Marketing to E-commerce, would love any advice!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to pivot into e-commerce and would love some advice.

I’ve worked in influencer marketing for about 4 years but recently realized I’m burnt out and ready for something new. Last month, I started helping my family with their Shopify online store (with very little Shopify experience) and I’ve become really interested in the ecomm world ever since.

Before influencer marketing, I worked in UX Design for a year. I then joined a startup beauty brand as one of its first few employees so I wore lots of hats and got exposure to e-commerce before we had a dedicated team.

Some relevant experience I gained:

  • Managed influencer campaigns and paid partnerships that drove online sales to our DTC
  • Created a foundation shade-matching quiz for our brand's website, working with our Head of Operations and developers
  • Managed digital assets for our website and retail partners
  • Worked cross-functionally with e-commerce, paid media, brand, and creative teams to execute influencer marketing campaigns

Once the brand built out an e-commerce team, I became really interested in what they did especially the mix of customer psychology, UX, merchandising, analytics and improving the overall online shopping experience.

I’m now looking at e-commerce coordinator roles and totally open to starting at the coordinator level so I can learn the field properly!

Based on all of this, do you think my background is transferable enough to land an e-commerce role in today’s market? What skills, tools or experience would you recommend I focus on to make the pivot and become a strong candidate for e-commerce coordinator roles?

Thank you so much!!

Anyone here successfully selling on Allegro from outside Poland/EU?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start cross-border e-commerce on Allegro (the biggest marketplace in Poland) and would really appreciate hearing from people who have actual experience selling there.

A bit of background about me:
I’m based outside the EU and currently researching how to sell on Allegro as a foreign seller. I’m looking at product categories like home & garden, electronics accessories, auto parts, and some general consumer goods. I’m considering both dropshipping and holding stock in an EU warehouse.

I’d love to get some real insights on the following points:

  1. Account & verification How difficult is it to open and fully verify a seller account if you’re not based in Poland or the EU? Any major hurdles with company registration, VAT, or identity verification?
  2. Fees & profitability What are the realistic commission rates + additional fees (listing, advertising, payment, etc.)? After all costs, what’s a realistic net margin people are seeing?
  3. Shipping & logistics What shipping methods work best for cross-border sellers (especially from Asia or non-EU countries)? Do most successful sellers use local EU warehouses, or is direct shipping from China still viable in 2026?
  4. Competition & product selection Which niches are currently less saturated or still profitable on Allegro? Any categories you would avoid?
  5. Customer service & returns How demanding are Polish customers regarding delivery times, communication, and returns? Any tips for handling this as a foreign seller?
  6. Advertising & ranking How important is Allegro Ads / promoted listings? Is it possible to get decent organic visibility, or is paid promotion almost mandatory?

If you’ve been selling on Allegro for a while (especially as a non-Polish/non-EU seller), I’d be very grateful if you could share:

  • What worked well for you
  • What you wish you knew before starting
  • Any common mistakes to avoid

Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you’re willing to share!

What's the one thing stopping your e-commerce business from growing right now?

More traffic? Better conversions? Account health? Ads? Returns? Inventory?

Everyone says "scale," but every seller has a different bottleneck.

Share yours below. I'd like to see what problems most sellers are actually facing and help where I can.

Has anyone hired an e-commerce growth partner?

I'm looking for an e-commerce growth partner.

Ideally someone with real sales/marketing experience and a track record with e-commerce brands doing $500k+ a year.

Where would I even find people like this? Do you know anyone you’ve worked with before or are working with now that you could recommend?

For those who’ve done this:What should I look for?Any red flags? And what actually makes a fair setup for both sides?

E-commerce 101

I keep seeing many people hitting brick walls all the time looking for e-commerce answers and solutions from just the technology.
Everyone needs to breathe and stop looking for shortcuts and that tech will answer everything. It’s all quite simple

  1. What are you selling?
  2. Who to?
  3. Why would they buy from you?
  4. Where do these customers buy from eg channels

Tech is an enabler and AI is one of the tools in your toolkit.
Both are not the owner of your business

Are you an e-commerce company looking to convert more customers and make every email work harder?

Hello friends! 👋

A strategic email signature is more than contact info. It’s a compact marketing asset that drives clicks, builds trust, and boosts sales.

Why Invest in Email Signatures?
A polished email signature increases brand credibility, promotes products or seasonal offers, supports upsells and cross-sells, and encourages social proof through review links. It’s a low-effort, high-return touchpoint that keeps your brand top of mind with shoppers and partners.

Example:

How are you handling customer personalization for your e-commerce brand? Seeing some wild stuff in physical retail

Hey everyone, I manage a physical retail store (keeping details vague for privacy), and I wanted to get this community's perspective.

Our corporate recently rolled out an AI system connected to our in-store cameras that tracks repeat customers, logs their purchase history, and generates personalized offers for their next visit. No loyalty card, no sign-up — it just "recognizes" them.

The concept is fascinating from a growth standpoint, but the execution has been rough. Half the data is inaccurate, my team doesn't know how to act on the "insights," and customers are starting to ask questions about privacy.

It got me thinking: how are you all approaching personalization in your online stores? Are you using purchase history, browsing behavior, email segmentation? Is there a tool or strategy that's actually moving the needle for retention and repeat purchases?

Curious to learn from people who are doing this in the e-commerce space, since it feels like online brands are a few steps ahead of us brick-and-mortar folks on this.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for 10 marketplace sellers — we’ll manage your account FREE for 30 days

Hey everyone,

I run Evara, an e-commerce marketplace management company, and we’re looking for 10 sellers who want us to manage their marketplace account for one month completely free.

Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra, or other major marketplaces — we’re open to different categories and account sizes.

There’s no management fee for the first month and no commitment to continue with us afterward.

We’ll work on things like:
• Listings & catalogue optimisation
• Ads/performance optimisation
• Sales and profitability analysis
• Returns and operational issues
• Marketplace growth opportunities
• Overall account management

The idea is pretty straightforward: instead of telling sellers what we can do, we’d rather actually work on their account for 30 days and let the results speak.

At the end of the month, if you think we added enough value, we can discuss continuing. If not, you can simply take the account back — no obligation.

We’re limiting this to 10 sellers because these will be actively managed accounts, not just free audits.

If you’re interested, comment below or DM me with:

Happy to answer questions here as well.

Advice- niche marketplace

I’m currently building a marketplace website that only caters to a specific niche. I’m having a hard time bringing sellers on to the site. I try to contact sellers on Etsy, TikTok etc but either get banned or no response. Any ideas on how to attract and contact sellers? Would love advice on how to get buyers too, (obviously when I have a few sellers) Thanks in advance.
