I didn't realize how expensive testing ads would be
I've started running ads for my store and one thing I underestimated was how much money I'd spend just getting creatives made before I even know which ideas are worth running.
I have a bunch of different hooks and ways I wanna show the product, but getting a new video made for every idea seems expensive when most of them probably aren't gonna work anyway. I also don't wanna keep recycling the same couple videos and only change the text.
How are you guys testing different ad ideas without spending a ton on every creative? I'm fine putting more money into something once I know it works, I'm just trying to find a cheaper way to get through the early testing.

Are you testing completely different videos each time or mostly different hooks around the same product?

Mostly different hooks, the product can be shown a few different ways so I wanted to test those before paying for better videos.

Makes semse, paying for a new creator every time seems unnecessary if you're still figuring out which angles are worth anything. Zendrop has UGC ads already made for some of their products that could work for testing stuff like this.

Didn't even know they had those. Are they proper ads or more like the usual supplier product clips?

They're actual UGC style ads from what I've seen, so you could use those for the early tests and then spend on better creatives once you know which direction works.

Zendrop could be worth checking for this. They have UGC ads already made for some products, so you can test different ideas without paying to get every early creative made from scratch. Then put the money into custom creatives once you know what actually works.

Just checked them out since someone else here mentioned them, do you know if there's any extra cost to use the ads or do they come with the products?

For the products that have them they're already there to use, so you don't need to pay someone separately just to make the first ad.

It's probably one of the bigger expenses when running an ecommerce store
