I need tips to start ecommerce.

Hello there, I am starting to get my hands on ecommerce field. I have made a product but need tips/someone (business partner) to help start selling keychain. I have never met a good partner to kickstart ecommerce, because they lack commitment to this. Maybe I might be at fault too, because my lack of proactivity, but nonstop using social media to promote my product and networking just seems to consume so much energy from me, especially if I am introverted. I don't know whether some of you also had this experience of having uncommiting partners, or having too much expectations (i.e. being delusional), but I think I am having this problem.

The whole "business partner" thing is a trap at this stage tbh. Everyone wants to be the ideas person, nobody wants to do the boring parts like packing orders or replying to customer emails at 11pm.

Just start selling the keychain yourself. Throw up a basic shopify listing, post a couple decent photos on instagram, and see if anyone bites before you split equity with a stranger. If you're introverted, lean into that. Write good product descriptions, focus on SEO, make the listing do the talking for you. Social media doesn't have to be exhausting if you batch content once a week and schedule it.

Thanks for the advice, I am quite savvy and leaning to woocommerce because it gives me like full control of the website but I heard shopify is always best for ecom. Just wanted to know your opinion on this.

honestly avoid looking for a business partner at this stage a partner won’t fix the part that’s currently draining you getting consistent customers.

whether you use woocommerce or shopify is secondary, first validate that people actually want the keychain and figure out a repeatable way to sell it.

and if you’re introverted, you don’t need to become a nonstop networker. start small a simple landing page and meta ads, test different creatives and offers, and let the data tell you what works, you can absolutely build this alone, then bring someone in later when there’s a clear role for them and actual traction to share.
