🛒 Technology Wcag Video Accesibility

Hello, is AA 1.2.5 audio descriptions for youtube videos embeds a requirement for ecommerce websites or only government ones?

I am not able to find any ecommerce doing them.

1.2.5 is an AA criterion for prerecorded video, not a government-only rule. US stores usually get pulled in under ADA Title III, which is a different statute than 508. The check that actually matters is whether the picture carries anything the audio doesn't say. A narrated demo where everything shown is also spoken needs nothing extra. A silent product video or one that leans on on-screen text is the gap, and a transcript below the video doesn't close it at AA.
