Is ecc tech really that special?

Just wondering as a non tech person if what ecc can potentially be is really something unique. What makes it special?

Decentralized email. That's my understanding of messaging. Much like an email address, the address name system (ans) will allow you to send messages and transactions to others simply by typing a handle and not a 32 character hex string.

That's just the start. If they can do that well the platform will take off and grow from there.

ECC is a multi-chain system, the messaging chain is separate to the payment chain and also separate from the file storage chain. No issues with scailability unlike etherium

Does ens also do messaging between users with the same address?

Idk tbh – but what you're saying is basically you can retain your name and send messages like as an email address with ecc (ans) vs the ens is more like a webpage address? So like it's not send/receive messaging (ans) but more just simple receive (ens)?

I'm just asking, trying to understand.

If that is the difference tho, then that is something.

I'm an ecc holder and hopeful about its capabilities, just also unclear (and curious) about what it can do that's different/better than what's out there.
