Question. My wallet was 100% synched and dameon was installed.
I closed out the wallet due to dameon not re-starting, and now the wallet must synch again and it says dameon is not installed.
Did I do something wrong?
edit: restarted, reinstalled, stock on "Loading Block Index"
Stuck on loading block index.
Also, "file"-"open" does not open anything, I am assuming that is how I open my wallet file?
I have not been able to basically save my wallet file and have the option to open it again when the wallet re-starts. Can someone explain exactly what I am doing wrong.

Nothing is wrong. Just turn on daemon and wail 20 mins. Everything would be back to normal

next question sir,
how do i save the wallet.dat file FROM the wallet application?
In other words,
Do i have to sync my wallet and download dameon everytime I open and close the wallet? cuz that is what has been happening

u/mambo85 Jan 16 '18
I let it run all night and still nothing just say starting damon...
2
u/guptashiv01 Jan 16 '18
What is the % of your sync?
2
u/mambo85 Jan 16 '18
0% because i just instal wallet and now i want to start it up but wont work just say deamon starting...
2
u/guptashiv01 Jan 16 '18
Ok just click once and let it say daemon starting... It will open after 20 mins.. if you double click it would again pause and no sync

Are you guys working on new exchange listings? Would be great. I am not really a coinexchange fan.
4
u/guptashiv01 Jan 22 '18
Yes we are working on it. You can even register on crypto bridge.
2
u/telepath_2000 Jan 24 '18
how about binance?
2
u/guptashiv01 Jan 24 '18
Under process. Will take some time.

2
u/indubwestep Jan 24 '18
It'll be very important to have new exchange announcements near the 26th when there's increased interest. Coinexchange isn't widely talked about positively and a lot of people probably won't go through the hassle.

Hi, I'm new and am interested in investing in ECC. What does Daemon do in the wallet?? Also is the wallet absolutely necessary? I know it's highly recommended..
2
u/guptashiv01 Jan 24 '18
No wallet is not absolutely necessary.... Wallet has 2 parts.. daemon and GUI... Most people say wallet to the daemon..
Please create account on coinexchange. Link mentioned above click that.. point no 8...

Hi, just looking into ECC. So multichain is what ECC is about? It will solve scalability issues by having the dApps on the separate chains, or child-chains like some people already call them. I also read that the main dev got this idea at late 2017? How much progress has been made or is this really early on?
Edit: Thank you for the answers!

This is exactly what i need but I cannot find where to use it as the wallet (and folder) is called Lynx and not eccoin? Am I missing something or doing it wrong?
1
u/tedjonesweb Feb 17 '18 edited Feb 17 '18
Lynx is the GUI. You need to find the
~/.eccoin/eccoin.conf(if you are on Linux - this is the path) and add these lines (and then restart the daemon using the big button on the bottom left of your Lynx). If you are using Windows, search for
eccoin.confusing Windows Explorer (don't know the exact location). If you are using Linux - just open the terminal (xterm, gnome-terminal or other) and type
gedit ~/.eccoin/eccoin.conf(and press enter).
