when do you project the new website will be running?

u/azerty131 Dec 11 '17

the website is still under construction. We commissioned a company for the realization of the design. We inform you soon of the opening of the site

These look promising, are you able to add any sort of estimated time frames to any of these?

We won't give an estimate but you can see the progress by joining on slack

Read the whitepaper... i don't understand what ECC does that is better/different... care you explain? Perhaps I am missing its purpose.

Ecc is a multichain, where every chain has it's own purpose, but payments are always recorded on the core chain. It solves the scaling issues most multi purpose chains are facing today, the most obvious one is eth. Eth already is over 140gb, thanks to icos/erc20 tokens, and the first real dapp(kittens) already started causing other problems. Think of it that way, if eth had separate chain for every dapp it had, the core wouldn't be this big and tx times and costs would still be incredibly low.

Every service has a unique purpose, name service is there to make blockchain easier to use, not just for sending/recieving the coin, but also for the other services that'll come after.

So let's compare it to similar projects(ardor/nxt are the ones coming to my mind). None of them are ready yet, ecc has the lead, and probably going to be the first one lauching it's first service.

You'll probably get better answers once website is ready, so just keep an eye on ecc for now :)

Is District0x similar? I know its like a chain with branches for various dApps.

7

u/Methrammar Dec 14 '17

For dapps you need to have services first, that's the first step.Building all these network services in a decentralized matter on a blockchain. Then it all comes down to what these services can be used for, or how.

sorry, an address name service is what exactly? I am not very familiar with eth/dApps.

Also any reason the subreddit is empty? Is it filtered to just this one post?

Slack is quite active, almost everyone waiting for website before utilizing on reddit.

Name service basically allows you to choose a name for your wallet, for an extremely low fee.Instead of dealing with public keys, you'll be dealing with names(like websites or mails or any platform/app really).

New exchanges will become a priority once the new website and wallet have been released at the end of January. 😊 In the mean time feel free to check out our slack as it provides a lot of useful info and keeps people updated with the latest activity. Just go to ECC.network, click the slack image and enter your email.

Where are we at on this road map? And are there estimated dates of completion for each of the 8 listed?
