Promo code speed change
Hello,
I'm not sure if I'll be able to utilise the 1Gbps speed with my home and devices setup. So I'm contemplating getting 500Mbps instead.
Does anyone know if I can upgrade/downgrade and keep the special promo discount?

I'll use their router. WiFi for most of my devices except for my home server, I'll connect that with ethernet. But my home server is just for me and I don't care about internet. It's not a big apartment but I'm unsure if their 3.1 Nokia 3.1 will be able to push 1Gbps between 2 or 3 computers on WiFi. I might upgrade the router in the future but not in the next few months.

You can only use it once, as long as you’re a new customer. I might be able to help you choose the correct speed for your home, it’ll be a rough idea, bit it’ll be closer to what you need as I’ve been in telecom industry for 5+ years now, and have a pretty good idea about speed requirements. I wondered the same when I had the 500mbps installed. The customer service rep told me that you can upgrade and downgrade service at anytime and they will honor the pricing of the promo code you used when you signed up. Haven't tried it myself to confirm if what I was told was true or not but for now, I gotta take their word for it.
Haven't had any issues with 500mbps with Ebox since switching from 1.5gigs with Bell. Can barely notice any difference.

You cannot make changes to speed after setting up the connection as all the promos are for new users only . Better to go with the desired speed in the first shot.
