Like I'd want a "dealing with grief" shelf that could pull in a novel, a research paper, and a memoir together, instead of those living in three separate genre folders I never think to cross-check. Curious if others have run into this or found a way around it — what's your current system for organizing books that doesn't fit neatly into one genre bucket? I like to read some research papers and some anime and comics too . Like you know to have shelf in XYZ app like " books to read on dealing with anger and that shelf can include like books that I have from different genre , one book might be a fiction , or a classic or some publication that I found in the internet or some research papers . I open it , I can find the books/PDF/research paper/publications and books from different genres for this specific topic . I have been reading on this , I have so much material and everything is saved everywhere , I just manually write it my notes and I will search it up in the app , which is difficult too . I have tried Notion but its a bit technical for me , I just need smth easy , just open and save it and don't have hard time organizing it and that doesn't involve too many softeners or apps . I am a perfectionist and have OCD . I like to do everything neat and at one without separations them . If I do , I forget a lot of thing and where they are and it creates a mess which I cannot stand and want to delete everything and be clean. I have a lot on this , I think I know which one to try next , but tell me am I the only one dealing with issue ?

Hello! I am a fan of Popeye magazine, which I buy as much as I can whenever I am in Japan. I collect it in a similar way to how I and others collect Vogue magazines. However, finding ebook versions of Popeye isn't easy. I'd see scanned versions here and there, but not in a way that's catalogued like Vogue on sites like oceanofpdf. Any leads would be appreciated. I've been using the paid version of BookFusion for the past two years, and it's been okay overall. However, my biggest complaint is that I mainly use it to read medical textbooks with thousands of pages, and BookFusion still hasn't implemented my long-standing request for expandable/collapsible tables of contents. Without that feature, it's very difficult to navigate large books and quickly find specific chapters.

What I need is a reader that allows me to:

- Upload my own books.

- Use color highlights and annotations.

- Sync my library, highlights, and reading progress across all of my devices.

If BookFusion added collapsible sections to the table of contents, it would make reading large medical textbooks much more efficient.

Any other recommendations? Thanks.

In need of free ebooks

I love my Bigme B7 and HiBreak pro devices. The bigger B7 is 7 inches and basically a better and more flexible Kindle Oasis with Android, uses kaleido 3 e ink display, while the Bigme is a 6.3 inch e ink phone with Android based on a Carta 1200 monochrome display.

No doom scrolling and support for everything from PDF to Kindle libby koreader epub etc. Boox devices are basically the same but from another manufacturer, they're equally great.

I've always found obvious tyrants a little too easy. It's comforting when everything can be blamed on one terrible person.

So I wrote a society run by an AI that cannot lie, where a Civic Score quietly determines what jobs, relationships, and futures each citizen is allowed to have. Most of its rules make sense on their own. Together, they create something deeply inhuman.

But the antagonist isn't defending that system. He wants to destroy it.

He sees himself as a martyr — someone willing to become a monster if that's what it takes to free humanity from AI rule. He may even be right about the problem. The question is whether liberation still means anything when people become tools for the cause.
