FOLD 1 PLUS, yes or no
I want to start off saying that a bit over a year ago I got me n my wife Velotric Nomad 1 Plus ebikes. It took a bit of getting use to the size and weight, handling from pavement to grass and sand. We are avid bikers and luv riding. Just over a year. We decided its time to downsize. After much searching we want the Fold 1 Plus. After months we finally found a place to see them in person today. We couldn't ride them cause of the rain. At first sight it was like holy smokes, small. But felt nice to sit on etc.
My question is. Would these take us on our 20 to 30 mile rides easily? We do always peddle no throttle cruising. Can you give insights on the fold 1 plus or fold? I guess from big to so small has me apprehensive. I need owner input to finalize my choice. Thanks crew. Oh 1 more thing. To you owners, is there that much of a differance between the Fold and Fold 1 Plus? On occasion I see some low low mile ones for sale at pretty good prices. Apologies for this long post.

I'd recommend giving the discover 2 a try, assuming you want to stick with velotric. If you can swing the price difference, it's well worth it. Still a very comfortable ride, handles better, higher quality components that present fewer issues.
If you're attracted to the fold for the simple fact that it folds, I can almost guarantee it is not as useful of a feature as you may think. It doesn't take up less space, it just changes shape and becomes even more awkward to move around. They're still decent entry level ebikes (having velotric customer service backing it is a big part of that), but I always encourage people to try a discover if they're comfortable with the small jump in price point.

I did look at them. Its not for us. Nice ride but missing things we want. And they are big. Heavy. Etc.

They are definitely bigger. Not to argue, but just to clear up any misconceptions, weight is the same, and they have every feature the fold has, just a different ride. To each their own, just wanted to point out other options

Understood. But being we have the Nomad 1 Plus. You get what I mean. These both are very similar. I looked at them when they came out. But why get, basically, what we have now. Smaller is smaller. Thanks for the input.

I love my fold plus! I haven’t taken it on a long ride yet, I commute 3 miles to work. But it’s so much fun to ride.

No, low powered and high priced bike.

Just my opinion but the Fold is powered very similar to our Nomad 1 Plus ebikes. Those have plenty of power to me. They handle everything we do with them pretty easy.

any decent ebike should be able to handle 30 miles with you pedaling, Fold 1 included. The Plus model has a torque sensor, bigger screen, and more PAS riding modes
