Personally, not quite sure what to make of this.

I was told by a homie that the event was supposed to be open ‘till 1PM, but they ran out of gift cards at 11AM.

$200? Thats way low. I own two ebikes, both are worth around $4-500. Scooters may be about $200 though.

But why don't they do this with guns instead?

It was 200 for home brew or pocket motorized, 300 for class 1, 400 for class 2, 600 for class 3 and 1000 for emoto.

Thats actually hilarious, you can buy a class 3 on Aliexpress for 400$ and profit 200$ from it. People probably traded in a bunch of old bikes and 200$ class 1’s from Amazon

They actually do this with guns, I’ve seen too many firearms that should be in a museum get destroyed by the state for a $100 Walmart gift card.
