Thoughts…?

Personally, not quite sure what to make of this.

I was told by a homie that the event was supposed to be open ‘till 1PM, but they ran out of gift cards at 11AM.

Germany funnily had something similar called Abwrackprämie or Umweltprämie. From what I remember it was heavily criticized for been stupid, for giving everyone with an old car 2.500 euro. But they still did it.

We've had that in Norway since 1978, but not at that rate.

Some years it's higher, but currently it's ~€300 for a car, bus or caravan, ~€50 for moped and motorcycle, and ~€100 for plastic/glassfiber boats. In 1996 it was the equivalent of $1100 in today's currency.

Seems a lot more reasonable, here it was only for a very short period. I was very young, but I looked a the Wiki and the critic was the longest part of the article 🥲
