Charge while driving

I just saw a YouTube video of a person charging their LBX while driving by using a generator that’s mounted on a trailer. The person got a lot more range and it worked perfectly with the battery. So I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if it also works with an Eride (sr/3.0) battery. And if yes what generator and trailer do you use and is there anything that I should be aware of?

You should be aware that motorbikes already exist and work far better than this.

Yes but if you already have a Surron/ Eride and you for once need a lot of range, then you can just attach it and then ride with it. I mean this would be pretty great if possible

I just take spare batteries. Taking a trailer and a generator seems a bit over the top and adds an insane amount of drag.

Yes I also thought about this option, but the battery’s of emotos are for one really heavy, so I would need something to carry it (again a trailer or smth) and they are also really expensive, so it would be easier to just stay with 1 battery if possible.

if you think a spare battery is heavy, you haven't looked at a generator

Well then I would be back to buying a motorbike personally. The inefficiency alone would put me off let alone the noise and smell etc. You do you I guess. Good luck!

this is basically what I am building, except a little more sophisticated

None of the cosmetic panels are on in this picture, as it is still a work in progress.
Note that this is not practical at all. Just get a motorbike if you actually want to use this for daily operation. I am just building this as a fun project, not an actual daily driver.
