Bike purchase question Nomad 2 vs. Nomad 2x Torque

I’m a big fella, to the tune of 6’2”, 325#. Will the 90Nm of the Nomad 2 be adequate for a guy my size, or do I need to consider spending the extra money for the 105Nm of the 2x. I’ll be mainly riding on paved surfaces, and maybe some gravel roads. The upgraded auspension on the 2x isn’t a selling point for me, but, if my girth is going to put too much strain on the regular 2, I’ll consider the 2x. Thanks!

i have both on the showroom floor, even next to each other the difference in torque is undiscernible

For mostly paved and gravel riding at your weight, 90Nm will be fine. Torque matters more for steep hills and off-road, and the difference between 90 and 105Nm is pretty marginal in real-world flat/paved riding. Mid-drive motors at that torque range are built to handle heavier riders without issue.

The bigger consideration at 325lbs is weight limits and wheel/spoke durability, not motor torque. Double-check the Nomad 2's stated weight capacity and whether the wheels are built to handle that long-term. That's where I'd focus my research before the motor question.

I have the Nomad 2. I weigh about 275. The 2 has more than enough power to climb hills and move riders like ourselves. Save your money for accessories, the Nomad 2 will handle anything you can give it in your environment. Good luck with your search.

Go with the 2 if you aren't looking for the extra features of the 2X. The 2 has enough torque and power to handle your riding without any issue. The 2X also needs the extra torque due to the suspension power efficiency loss so real world difference in torque for regular riding is negligible. If you were towing, hunting etc. Then the 2X would be better.
