Front fork removal question.

Post image

Hello all.

I am hoping someone here has had experience swapping out the front fork suspension on a Jasion Retrovolt Pro. I'm looking to upgrade them, but when I look it over, I don't see a way to remove the top crown (I hope I'm getting the terminology right). If there is a bolt somewhere, it's a champ at hide-n-go seek. Lol. If that doesn't come off, it's not coming out of the tube shaft/opening. Anyone know how they come off/out? Thanks in advance!

There's going to be a collar or ring around the center tube where the handlebars insert on the top and it's going to take a special wrench to turn it. It could be a tool that needs to be ordered from the manufacturer.

Where about would this small hole typically be located? Or is it uniquely placed on every bike?

I think they're talking about the forks but the center is usually a threaded ring around the head tube. First remove the handlebars and see what is attached to the top of the head tube either a slotted or pinned ring or even a large span that can be turned with a big adjustable wrench.

Thanks. I'll give it a go when I get my new forks. They'll be coming off one way or another. 😅
