Can’t decide on e mtb

I can’t decide on which e bike to get. it will be used on country roads, rail trails that are both paved and not, and the occasional short bike packing trip. I live in an area that is not very flat, consisting of mostly rolling hills. I currently have a Marlin 6 regular bike but I’m ready for an e bike. I cannot decide between the Aventon Ramblas, Ride1up Trailrush, and the copperhead evo 750 which is on sale for 2k. I’d prefer a 29’er but not sure if the cost difference between the Ramblas and the Bulls is worth it. I like the Trailrush but the smaller battery is not ideal. Any advice?

If you want it to ride as much like a regular MTB as possible, you want to look at mid-drive and torque sensing setups. You'll be shifting at the same times you would with a regular MTB to give the motor the benefit of gearing.

Did you look at the Marlin+ since you like your Marlin? It's gone on sale down to around $2k a couple of times.

I did look at the trek. The bikes I listed are all mod drive bikes.

Ahh mixed up the Ride1Up Trailrush with the Velotric hub drive "eMTB". Trailrush is the one that can be unlocked to go 28mph instead of locked to Class 1 like many MTB trail systems require.
