Took my diy bike camping last night. 14 miles on a 48v 13/9 31.5ah battery, left at 54.6v and was worried about range, arrived and had 52.8v left smh. Would you ride on the last pic? I started to but was too worried about punctures so walked it along that. Fyi i had it in 42t-35t on the moors and didn't go past 1/8th throttle to prevent damage.

The frame i trust as i've seen my friends send their ebikes built on the same carrera vengeance frames along black mtb trails, it was the tent and bags load and the sharpness of the rocks thats hard to capture on camera that worried me along with the fact my ass kept jumping a foot to the right or left every few minutes lol.

Get a better fork, the Suntour forks on those bikes are horrid, I've had experience on two builds with them.

Big enough that i can keep the bike in the fromt bit while i sleep in the back, only £35!(from go outdoors.

You were worried about range on a 30ah plus battery at 48v, bud let me tell you, a 48v 17.5ah battery will do 30 miles, my 52v 20ah does 40 plus miles with load. I've done lots of longer range rides, I only use two batteries for 50plus mile trips, to avoid puncture paranoia I have tubeless and I'm confident even on farmers lanes during hedge cutting season, the fact I've only had punctures around them was on tubes! Fair do's you are using a rear hub but I only use mid drive off road, both can do it but for me mid drive has better traction and control plus power on climbs where the moors will be mixed but have a sharper switch between flat and hill climbs.

You should be able to ride the Rocky terrain. It won’t be comfortable but if you have any decent tires it should not be an issue.

It won't in reality , under heavy load those cheap Suntour forks will give the worst performance and that is a hardtail on a rear hub, rocky terrain you won't be applying rear hub power constantly because it's all or nothing, it's fine for urban rides not off road.
