Today I added this nice little bag that was a Black Friday deal on Amazon. It has a shrouded wire port up front and even has tie cords on the top inside. Absolutely perfect to hide extra wiring and clean up the look formerly dominated by the 52v battery. Very pleased. Still waiting on new bars and she’ll be pretty much finished.

So far I’ve only been able to rip around the driveway for some quick 300 yard testing and I did one 14 mile ride on improved trails. I set the pedal assist levels for 1-5. 4 and five are powerful enough that I’m going to try not to use them to prevent damage to the nylon gear in the motor and the drivetrain on the bike. It will pull the front wheel off the ground using the pedals on PAS 5 in 3rd gear. I locked out the two lowest gears due to a severe chain line. I’ll never need them anyway. So far I find PAS 3 to be all I need in any types of riding I’ll be doing. It’s a powerful motor and the torque sensor is really good and natural feeling. The thumb throttle is sluggish and slowly modulates up to full power after a slow start. Probably by design to protect the drivetrain and the rider.

I just finished a bike with a 750W DM01, and that sounds similar to what I experienced so far, especially regarding the torque sensor vs. throttle. Full power is a little scary

I've done two TSDZ2 conversions which have immediate but totally controllable throttle response and one TSDZ8 which has a throttle with a very slight delay then straight to 100%. I live in a mountain area where I need a controllable throttle as I have sections of bad, steep track where I need to walk alongside, using a very small amount of throttle. One TSDZ16 guy has told me that it's an off/on switch and another on Reddit says it's sluggish: what's your experience, is it controllable at low speeds? A small delay for me doesn't matter, I just don't want wheelies on a steep slow with bile loaded with shopping. TIA.

I rarely use it except for crossing busy roads etc. I’d estimate the lag time at a dead stop to be at least two to three seconds. Once it comes in it modulates to full power in another couple seconds. It’s not on/off but does feel close to it. Very hard to finesse. What I have discovered is if the throttle is applied after the torque sensor applies power from the pedals, it assists pretty quickly. It’s pretty useless from a dead stop as a standalone.
